Diamond City, the Great Green Jewel of the Commonwealth. Nate was very impressed by the layout of this city built on the old Fenway Park baseball stadium. There were many metal shacks, markets, and a restaurant in the middle of the city. Nate, Dogmeat, and Alex walk down the steps to the field. Nate sees Piper with a little girl. She wore a red jacket and a pink skirt along with it. Must be her sister the mayor mentioned. Their home was a newspaper press called "Publik Occurrences".
Alex takes off his assault gas mask and smiles a bit, noticing Nate looking around. "Nice city?" he asked.
"Very impressive!" said Nate. "I can't believe my eyes. Heh, I think I'm gonna like it here."
"I bet you will," said Alex. "Hey, you wanna get a drink? It's at the Dugout Inn. Money's on me."
"Sure," smiled Nate.
Nate, Dogmeat, and Alex head over to the bar. Many people greeted Alex with a nice, welcoming manner. They quickly stop at a little market selling baseball bats.
"Hey Moe!" said Alex. The owner looks at him and smiles. He wore a Red Sox baseball uniform and had a baseball bat with him.
"Hey hey hey!" he laughed. "There's my favorite number one customer! How you doin' Alex? That Swatter of yours working well?"
"Yup!" he said. "Ran into a bunch a Ferals to save this guy with me. Your swatters are very helpful."
"Nice to hear that!" said Moe. "Come by anytime if you'll like anything from yours truly."
"Alrighty Moe," smiled Alex. "See you around!"
The guys then stop by a Hispanic man selling all sorts of weapons and ammunition. Pistols, rifles, heavy machine guns, laser and plasma rifles, many firearms to offer.
"Good to see you, Alex," smiled the owner Arturo. "I see you made a new friend?"
"Yeah, I'm new here," said Nate. "Just getting settled in."
"Well that's very good," he smiled. "If you're ever interested in purchasing any weaponry, come stop by here any time. And remember, always stock up on ammo."
"That's something I'm never going to forget," said Nate. After meeting with Arturo, they stop by at one market selling various items and supplies ran by an Asian woman.
"Oh, it's you again Alex," she said.
"Hey Myrna," he said.
"Who's that man with you?" she asked. "Is he a Synth?!"
"What?" asked Nate. "'No, what makes you-"
"She's just paranoid," said Alex. "In fact, everyone in Diamond City is paranoid about the Institute. They snatch you up and replace you with a synth version of you."
"I don't serve Synths," said Myrna. "They're nothing but trouble! Trouble I tell you! Ever since that Broken Mask incident."
"Well don't you worry," said Nate, "I'm not a synth. In fact, we came across some and killed them."
"Good," said Myrna. "Keep doing that for the sake of this city."
Alex leads Nate to the center of the city; a noodle shop. Surprisingly, the owner is a Protectron. It was wearing a chef's hat and was stirring a pot of noodles.
"Hey Takahashi!" said Alex. "How's business?"
"Nan-ni shimasho-ka?" the protectron asked in Chinese.
"Oh that's great," he smiled.
"You can understand him?" asked Nate.
