A few hours have gone by as Nate, Alex, and Suzy follow Dogmeat. The mutt was tracking down of Kellogg's whereabouts. So far, they found certain locations of where they found chairs with the same brand cigars and beers they found back at Kellogg's old home in Diamond City. Very suspicious.

The group end up in a small, abandoned town. Dogmeat runs up the steps of one particular building. Suzy looks at this place, trying to think of what the place was, due to the maps she studied in the region.

"This must be Fort Hagen," she said. Dogmeat barks at the entrance. The three head up to meet up with him. Sadly, the entrance door was blocked by concrete and sandbags.

"Is this the place?" Nate asked. "Is he in here, boy?"

"WOOF!" said Dogmeat.

"Well we can't go in there," said Alex. "There's gotta be another way to get in."

"Let's go find out," said Nate. The group walked around the building to find an entrance. Luckily they have found one on the top of the building. Nate lifts the door open and goes inside, along with the others.

-------------------------------------------

The group held their weapons tight and high, believing Kellogg's not alone. Indeed, they were right. Nate peeks into the next room to see synth guards, first generation and second generation types. One of them senses the group.

"Is someone present?" it asked. Nate fires a beam at the synth, killing it. Alarmed, the other synths fired at the group. Suzy and Alex rush towards the synths and brought them down. Nate and the others took an elevator down into the lower level. After exiting, they walk down a long hall. A synth notices them.

"Hostiles in Fort Hagen," it said. "Destroy them immediately."

Nate fires beams at the synth, blowing off its plastic skin and exposing its exoskeleton. More synths appear in the room and fire. Suzy fires a few rounds at their arms, blowing them off. An armless synth rushes towards her and head-butts her. Suzy backs up holding her head, then she goes back on the offense by kicking its face, then grabbing and snapping its neck. Alex rushes towards one and tackles it down. He picks it up and threw it across the room, hitting it against the wall.

After killing the reinforcements, the group continued forward. Suddenly, they hear the intercom go on.

"If it isn't my old friend, the frozen TV-dinner," said a voice Nate recognized. "Last time we met, you were cozying up to the peas and apple cobbler."

Kellogg. Nate angrily kicks down the security door in front of him, setting off an electrical trap. The group waited a few seconds for the trap to be over. They continued to the downstairs, finding the next door and a turret next to it. Alex helps take the gun down.

"These things are everywhere!" he ranted. Nate opens the door, leading to the next door.

"Sorry your house has been a wreck for two hundred years," said Kellogg. "But I don't need a roommate. Leave."

Nate ignores him and continues forward. He opens the door, leading into the command center.

"Hmph. Never expected you to come knocking on my door. Gave you a 50/50 odds of making it to Diamond City. After that? Figured the Commonwealth would chew you up like a jerky."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" screamed Nate. This alarmed the synths in the next room. They fired at the group, but were quickly brought down dead. One survivor tries crawling away. Nate walks up to it and stomps on its head, crushing it into pieces. Suzy, Dogmeat, and Alex walk over the pile of debris to follow him.
