"Critical failure in Cryogenic Array. All Vault residents must vacate immediately."

The cryo pod door opens. Nate breathes heavily and falls on his knees. He's finally back outside. He slowly looks up at a pod in front of him. Nora. Nate runs up to it and looks through the window. There she was, not moving a muscle.

"COME ON!" he screamed. "There has to be a RELEASE!"

With luck, Nate finds the control panel. He switches it, opening the pod. Nate looks at his wife. Nora was completely frozen, with a bullet hole on her forehead. Shaun wasn't in her arms. Nate began to tear up. He covers his eyes and sobs quietly.

"No...no...it has to be a dream!!!" he screamed. "WAKE UP NATE!!! WAKE UP!!!!"

It was no dream. Nora is dead. Shaun is gone. Nate looks at his dead wife, then at her wedding ring. He slowly takes her hand and slips her ring off of her.

"I'll find who did this....and I'll get Shaun back....I promise..."

Nate closes Nora's cryo pod so no one would mess with her dead corpse. He looks through many of the other ones, noticing the lifeless bodies inside.

"Oh my God...why would Vault-Tec do this?"

Nate walks over to the sliding door and opens it. He walks down the hall, remembering it to be where he went with the doctor into the room with the pods. He enters another room filled with the pods.

"Hello?! Is anyone here?!"

No answer. He continues his way into another hall and down the stairs. He looks at a window to look through, but something on it caught his eye. It looked like a cockroach, but, it was bigger.

"Giant...cockroaches..? What the Hell?"

He tries to ignore the thing by going through another hall. Nate couldn't believe what he just saw. Why is there a giant cockroach? Where is everyone? Where are the staff members? The doctors? The security?

Nate leaves the area and comes across a security baton. He takes it incase the roach appears. He goes through the generator room and comes face to face with the giant roaches. The bugs spread their wings, signaling Nate is nearby. He quickly whacks the creatures, killing them one by one. As he tries to escape the room, Nate comes across a skeleton wearing the Vault jumpsuit. He stared at it, wondering if it was one of the staff members.

"What happened here? Where is everyone?!"

He leaves the room into the main office. Too many doors. On the desk, he finds what appear to be three medical needles. Stimpaks. Nate takes them, then notices more items on the desk. A gun. A 10mm pistol with 10mm rounds. Nate takes the gun and loads up the ammo for it. He slides it on his waist, not wanting to waste any ammo when facing more of the roaches.

Nate searches around the cabinets for anything he could use. He finds a Bobby Pin and more ammo. He slides one cabinet and, surprisingly, a stack of U.S. dollars.

Nate takes the money and sets it on the desk with the rest of the things he found. He'll need to find something to carry it all. Mainly a backpack. Nate searches the office and luckily finds one. He sets it on the desk and fills it with all the things he found. He zips it up and carries it on his back.

Knowing the next door is locked, Nate goes on the Overseer's terminal and disengages the lock. The door slides open and Nate walks in. Not wanting to waste any more time, he makes a run for it. He ignores the roaches coming after him.

After passing through so many sliding doors, he makes it to the Vault entrance. Nate wonders how he would get out of the Vault. He walks up to the control panel, noticing a red, square-shaped button, sealed in behind glass. Now what? Nate looks down to see another skeleton. What's different about it is that it's missing its lower forearm bone. Nate finds the missing bones, but also discovers what's wrapped around it; a mechanical wrist device.

Nate bends over and picks the device up. He looks at it, then attaches it on his left wrist. Nate clips it in to keep it from sliding off and turns it on. He rubs the dust off the screen. Many green text appeared on it. Then, a cartoon of a man appears. The Vault Boy. He gives Nate a big smile, then a thumbs up. The screen changes to the menu. Nate slides the tab through the different tabs, from status to inventory, data to the map, and finally the radio.

Nate finds a wire attached to his device. He pulls it, revealing a cord. He looks at it, then at the control panel. Nate inserts the cord into the panel. The glass dome moves, freeing the red button. Nate removes the cord and presses the button. The alarms start to go off.

"Vault door cycling sequence activated. Please stand back."

The bolt grabber moves towards the gear-shaped door of the Vault, connecting to it. It slowly slides it open, releasing a loud screech. Nate covers his ears from being too loud. The door's open; he can leave. Nate could see light shed onto his eyes. He races towards the exit through the gate and into the platform elevator.

"Enjoy your return to the surface. And thank you for choosing Vault-Tec."
