Danse opens the door to the police station. He, Nate, Dogmeat, and Alex enter, meeting up with Scribe Haylen and Knight Rhys. Haylen was happy to see them return. Rhys wasn't very surprised, knowing Danse would be coming back in once piece.
"Paladin Danse," smiled Haylen. "Glad to see you alive and well, sir."
"Are we in luck, sir?" Rhys asked.
"Mission accomplished," said Danse. "We have the transmitter."
"Finally...some good news for a change," he said. "Nice work, sir."
"I didn't do it alone," smiled Danse, looking at Nate, Dogmeat, and Alex. "Haylen, Rhys...these are the guys that helped me get it. This is Nate, his pet Dogmeat, and one of our members from the Capital Wasteland, Paladin Alex."
"Hello lady and gentleman," smiled Alex.
"Nate here especially shows a lot of promise," Danse mentions. "With the proper guidance, I think he has the potential to of becoming one of the best."
"Glad to meet you two," said Nate. "I promise you that I won't let you down."
"You don't have to prove anything else to me," smiled Haylen. "Getting the transmitter was enough."
"So you decided to stay, huh?" asked Rhys. "I expected you to take your payment and run."
"Sort of," said Nate. "I've got important things that need to be taken care of."
"You can play it however you want it, tough guy," Rhys said bitterly. "It's going to take a lot more than completing one mission to impress me."
"Rhys, that's enough," said Danse. "Like it or not, but soon you're going to have to learn to work together."
"My apologies."
"Nate here is only going to stay for a little while until he sets off to find his son," said Danse. "At least show him some respect. That goes for you too, Nate."
"Right," Nate nodded.
"Alright," he said. "Let's get you packed up. By the way, if you're ever interested in coming back here to help us with anything, you're more than welcomed to do so."
"I'll definitely keep that in mind," smiled Nate. "You have my word."
"Excellent," said Danse. "Let's get you packed up."
------------------------------------
Nate spreads the supplies he's received from Paladin Danse across the table. From fusion cells to canned food, he takes one by one and sets them inside his backpack. Diamond City was his next target in hopes to finding Shaun. He has a feeling that he might or might not be there, but on the other hand, he could ask from the folks in the city to where he can start looking. Knight Rhys enters inside the room and walks over to Nate.
"Hey," he said. Nate looks over at him.
"Listen, about earlier," he said, "there are some things you need to know. The Brotherhood of Steel is my life, and I'll be damned to let someone come in and take it all away from me. I bleed for the Brotherhood, and no one else. I can't understand people like you. You're always killing and looting, and you don't care about the consequences. You're different from anybody else, and it's bugging the heck out of me. Why is that?"
