I had finally fallen asleep when I felt a warm hand rub against my cheek. My eyes flew open and my heart jumped at who was there.

"Adonis."

"My child." I quickly jumped out of the bed and stood in front of him.

"Thanks for all the help back there! I could've used you." He didn't say a word but instead watched me very closely. Adonis was a very attractive man, despite his age. Even though he was about a couple hundred thousand years old he looked no older than thirty. He had golden skin complimented by white hair that practically glowed. His eyes were what made most people cower behind a table. They were completely black.

"Anyway, I've learned my lesson. Please take me home where I belong."

"Are you ready to kill humans?"

"No but-"

"Then you have not learned your lesson. You are to stay here until that gets into your stubborn head."

"You are a coward! I did nothing wrong but yet you threw me down here. You are supposed to be my family!" Before I could finish my rant I doubled over with an intense pain in my stomach. I felt his cold eyes on me as I fell to my knees while coughing up blood.

"Do not call me a coward again. You should fear me. I now hold your pathetic mortal life in my hands so I suggest you show me some respect." Maybe this is a good time to say that Adonis was the God of disease. I never worried about angering him when I was a Goddess but now that I'm a human he can actually hurt me.

"You betrayed my one and only rule, River. Do you think I was happy about having my greatest weapon no longer available?" I couldn't respond due to all the blood spewing out of my mouth. I should've known better then to mess with him but I didn't think he would do this to me.

"I also heard that you have been causing some problems for my wife." Even in my current condition I couldn't help the smile that grew across my face.

"You think it's funny?" I expected him to scream at me but instead he began to laugh. "Adorabella needed to be put in her place." I really did not see that coming. Once he stopped laughing he walked over to my crumbled body and kneeled next to it.

"You chose your fate when you decided to love those abominations. And you will die here like the rest of them." My stomach felt like it was on fire and I was struggling to breathe. Then suddenly the pain all stopped. I gasped for air as I fell on my side. Adonis grabbed my face and wiped the blood that was dripping from the corners of my mouth.

"It's a shame. You always were my favorite." He then vanished into thin air. I stayed on the ground for a while before finally getting the strength to pull myself up onto the bed. I sighed and pulled the covers above my head. So far I have made two enemies. There was Damon, and his little followers, and Adonis along with all the Gods. And this was all in a time span of two weeks, tops! And then there are the people who are currently holding me captive. Damn, I am on a roll.
