Damon POV:

"How could she just vanish without a trace?"

"I don't know, Damon. But we will find her. After all she's just a human, how hard could it be?" Megan said as she buttoned up her blouse. Her red hair was messy from the angry sex we just had.

"She is not a human! I've said this more than once."

"I know you have but I think you are going a little crazy. Maybe from all the stress lately." She purred as she walked behind me and began rubbing my shoulders. I knew no one would believe me when I said that she shot fire from her hand and mouth. And to be honest, it was starting to drive me insane. The only other person that saw her do so is missing and now people are starting to question my authority. I see them snicker at me as I walk by and some are even planning to challenge me.

"I am not crazy." I growled as I grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against the wall. "She is not human. In fact she could be a real threat to us. And so help me I will expose her for who she really is and then you will be kissing the ground I walk on to try to make up for your ignorance." I looked intently at her face and watched as her eyes lit up and a smirk spread across her face.

"You are so hot when you get rough." I felt a smile tug at the corner of my lips as I slammed her down on my desk and ripped her clothes off. Soon River will be the only one who pleases me, but for now I will take what I can get.

River POV:

I was running through the woods, my bare feet stepping on the warm grass. The sky was a beautiful orange color and sun was the biggest I had ever seen it. Although it was so peaceful I couldn't help but feel like I was running from something. I heard a loud growl from behind me which caused a small shriek to fall from my mouth. My feet began to carry me even faster as I ran to an unknown destination. I quickly looked behind me and before I could turn back I slammed into something hard. I stumbled back and look up, squinting to try to see past the suns bright glare.

A wave of fear washed over me as I came face to face with Adonis. He smirked as I quickly turned around and began running the other direction. I didn't get every far before I quickly stopped, my heels digging into the dirt. Adorabella blocked my exit and began laughing at my frightened face.

The once beautiful sky was now turning a dark grey color and rain began to fall from the clouds. I tried to bend it at Adorabella but I couldn't move it no matter what I tried. I turned around to see Adonis slowly walking towards me, so I decided to run in any other direction I could. I chose another path and started sprinting. A loud howl erupted through the air causing me to stop and a chocolate brown wolf stalked out from the shadows, blocking off that exit. I watched in horror as its bones snapped and it transformed into a human. He lifted his head up and I found that it was none other than Damon.

There was only one direction left to go and I had a good feeling that it would be like all the rest. But I tried it anyway. I ran that way but again was blocked by someone. Only this time I was very surprised to see who it was.

"You." I mumbled as I backed up. Zeus looked at me with a smile that chilled me to the core. I watched as they all got closer and closer to me, blocking any chance of escape I had. Suddenly I was wrapped in someone's warm arms making me feel safe.

"If you touch her I will rip your eyes out." Archer growled. Damon looked over to Adonis, his eyes asking for something.

"Go right ahead." Adonis said as he kept his eyes glued on me. Before I could process what was happenening Damon grabbed Archer away from me and pinned him to the muddy ground.

"No, don't." I yelled. Archer's sad eyes found mine and a pain I never knew I could feel engulfed my insides. "Please, I beg you. Don't hurt him!" Warm tears were streaming down my face as my arms clutched my stomach.
