Archer POV
“What do you remember?” I was currently standing before Kye in his homey cell. Kye was sitting against the cold metal wall with his hands folded in his lap. His gaze was focused on the wall behind me- as if he was afraid to look at me. I heard him swallow loudly before licking his dry and cracked lips.
“Nothing, really.” He fiddled with his hands while he tried to gather his thoughts. “I remember Bryn. I remember throwing things at him. And I remember you. You looked so disappointed in me. Then-“ His voice cracked causing him to stop talking.
He brought his hands up to his face and wiped under his eyes. I waiting patiently as Kye collected himself. Then, for the first time since I’ve been here, he looked at me.
“I remember pain. Horrible, undeniable pain.” I was taken aback by the coldness of his voice. I took a minute to look at my friend. The strong, easy-going, loveable nut that I had grown so accustomed to had all but vanished. Instead a broken man sat in his place. He looked just like my father.
“Then after that?” I tried to keep my voice strong. But seeing him in his current condition made me everything but that.
“Nothing. Just darkness.” I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck with my hand. It’s a good thing he doesn’t remember the things he did. Knowing him, it would destroy him. Kye is a faithful and honorable man in every possible way. For him to discover the things he said about his luna and the twisted statements he spilled to me would all but kill him.
I walked over to cold wall and slid down next to him. We just sat there in comfortable silence for a while, both of us lost in our thoughts. “How did things get so messed up?” I thought out loud.
“I don’t know but if I figure it out I will let you know.” I could feel a smile tug at the corner of my lips. The silence continued for a while longer.
My mind wandered to River. Just the thought of her is enough to drive me insane. That mysterious long dark hair. Her mesmerizing blue eyes. Those pouty, kissable lips. Everything about her draws me in. Yet, something about her has me on edge. Kye letting out a sigh brought me out of my thoughts and back to important matters.
“So how do you feel know?”
“That’s just it. I don’t feel anything.” I looked over to him to find him returning my gaze.
“Is that a good thing?”
“I have no idea.”
“What does Jackson think?”
“He doesn’t know either. He left to go look through his books. See if he can find out anything.”
“Well, I hope for your sake that he finds something soon.”
River POV
“Come on, River. This party was your idea so get off your ass and come help me.” I rolled my eyes at Hannah as I put down my fruit bowl.
“Fine.” We were setting up tables and other things to get ready for this afternoon.
“Don’t get an attitude with me. It was your idea to have a party on such short notice.” We both grabbed some food platters and carried them over to a table.
“Why did you want to do this exactly?”
“I just thought with everything going on people could use some fun.”
“Well I’m glad you did. I think it’s a great idea.” For the next half hour we worked quickly, laughing and having a great time. Finally, everything was finished.
“There!” Hannah clapped her hands together. “It looks amazing.” I had to agree with her. The vast, normally empty, field had been transformed into an amazing party area. The grass was covered with a large square wooden flooring that took up most of the field. Hannah said it would make it easier to dance and walk around on. Table as far as the eye could see were covered with food and drinks. Hannah even somehow managed to get a chocolate fountain! Lights were hanging around trees and rimmed the wooden floor. Large speakers sat in the four corners of the wooden floor, allowing for music to be blasted. All in all, it was perfect.
“It’s great, Hannah. Thank you for helping me!”
“Don’t mention it. Now let’s go get us ready.” She looked over the field one more time. “This will be a party to remember.”

I CHANGED THE KYE ACTOR AND FEATURES. He now has brown hair and brown eyes! Thank you to MaryCallie for giving me the idea. I was never happy with his features.
Hello my lovlies. Again, I am here asking for forgiveness. I didn't realize so much time had passed since I updated this. I have been so busy with life taking a crap on my face. But that is no excuse. Thank you to everyone that has stuck with me despite the inconsistent updates. My schedule and life has calmed down so I'm hoping I will be able to update more and more. I fully intend on finishing this story. I have so many ideas. I love you all and again, thank you.
Sorry for the slow and short chapter. The huge chapter is coming next so but I wanted to put something before it. It should be up by the end of the week!
