When people describe the feeling of dying, they describe it as peaceful. Well I'm here to call bullshit. There is no bright light that warms up your insides. It is painful, scary, and a time to reflect on all your bad life choices. In my case, I have made many bad decisions. But my mistake was one small choice that I made which has led me here.

You know those scary movies with vampires and wolves the size of a human? How about the stories of the angels and demons fighting it out or the God's and Goddesses protecting humans? Those stories that have children lying awake at night with their covers pulled high above their head? You know, the ones that are just for entertainment and a chance to cuddle up with a very scared date? Well what if I were to tell you that all that stuff exists.

My name is River and I am a Goddess. Well I was a Goddess. I bet you are very confused so let me start from the beginning. Everyone has heard of the Great Zeus an Athena! How about Aphrodite or Hermes? Now what about Adonis or Nefertiti? I didn't think so. You see, there was a lot more to the Gods and Goddesses than the humans picked up. There was in fact a whole lot more of Gods that stood next to Zeus. That is, until he kicked them out.

As you know the Gods watch out for all life. They make sure you humans have the things you need to survive. Sure, there's a massive flood here and there and a few volcanic eruptions but we have to keep things in balance. Anyway, my father, Adonis, was Zeus's brother. Adonis despised all human life. He felt that they were a blemish on the world and not worth our time to protect. So he did what any God would do.

Do you remember the Black Plague? Yeah, that was Adonis. Zeus was furious with Adonis for wiping out such an amount of humans that he threw him out of Mt. Olympus. Adonis swore his vengeance and left with his many followers. They made home in a dormant volcano where they began scheming. That's where I come in.

Adonis knew that the only way to get what he wanted was a weapon. One that Zeus could never comprehend. So he went to Nefertiti, the creator, and asked her for a monster. She took him to the very depth of the Volcano where the fire meets water and the earth meets the cold air. And that is where I was created.

My hair falls in long loose curls in the color of black, like the coals in a fire. My skin is tanned to perfection like the earth. My eyes are the deepest color of blue, complimented by silver specks and have a slight glow like the sea after a storm. My voice is as smooth and as soft as air and grace falls in my every step. Though I may sound harmless and nothing more than a pampered princess, I am someone you do not want to mess with.

Maybe you are familiar with some of my work. Remember that devastating earthquake in Japan? That was me. I didn't start off with big stuff though. I went through years, and I mean years, of training. If you haven't guessed yet, I control all the elements. With a flick of my wrist I could spit the earth in two. But Adonis wanted to have some fun, so I just did little things here and there and was more than glad to do it. The way Adonis described humans to me made me sick. I wanted to wipe them off the earth! That was until I did what every teenager does and snuck out one night while everyone was asleep. Against contrary belief, Gods need sleep as much as humans do.

I flew down to a small town and almost instantly my breath was taken away. It was so beautiful and the people were even more so. I walked through the town and watched as people talked and couples stared into each other's eyes with utter devotion. I watched as parents held the hands of their smiling child as they swung then back and forth as they walked. I was truely in love with their world. I spent almost the whole night just walking around the town, curiously examining everything that came into my sight. I had fallen in love with this little town and the people in it.

I kept coming back to this little town every night for a year. But what i didn't know was that my friend Adorabella, the Goddess of Seduction, knew that i left to visit the humans and was just waiting for the perfect moment to report me.

Little did I know, Adonis was planning on making me his wife. That made all his other female followers jealous, especially Adorabella. So she told Adonis that I sneak out and visit humans. He was furious and followed me one night. When he saw it was true he trapped the whole town in a ring of fire and forced me to watch as they burned. After nothing was left but a pile of ash he dragged me home.

Since befriending humans was a crime in our little group I was put in front of the elders. They had a hard time with the decision since I was a huge part of their plan but in the end they knew what they had to do. I was banished and I was given a mortal life. I still had my powers since those were an actual part of me but now I could easily be killed and would start aging. I was then dropped into the middle of nowhere and left to fend for myself.

Okay, now that you know the story, lets get back to me dying. So as you can tell from my life story, I have made many mistakes. But my biggest mistake by far was doing the unthinkable. I fell head over heels in love with a werewolf.
