I woke up to my cat Dobby licking my face. I found him wandering around my apartment one night. He was starved so I brought him in and fed him. He’s been mine ever since. However I didn’t name him until I watched Harry Potter and fell in love with Dobby. I chuckled and pushed him off me as I sat up.

Looking at the clock I realized I slept in way past noon. I deserved it thought. I worked until 2:30 and my feet were aching from those stupid stilettos I have to wear. I flicked my hand making the curtains in my room slide open, reveling a very rainy day. After sitting there for a while I finally got up and got in the shower. Once I was done I put on a pair of Nike shorts and a blue tank top.

I walked to the kitchen with Dobby following closely knowing he was going to get fed. I poured his food into his bowel and he meowed happily before diving face first into it. After looking through my kitchen it was official. I had no food. I quickly put some sandals on and walked out into the pouring rain.

Before walking to the store I went into the woods behind my apartment. Once I was sure I was out of sight I let everything out. I screamed but instead of sound all that came out was a blast of fire. I punched my hand on the ground beneath me causing it to shoot up in the air, bringing me up to the tallest tree. I climbed on and looked up to the sky.

“Why did you leave me?” I screamed, knowing they wouldn’t answer. I had a family and they abandoned me. I know they were cruel and hard to love, but I did. I mean, they created me! Why wouldn’t I love them? But at the same time I hated everything about them. I growled and jumped off the tree, hovering above the ground before I hit. I turned back the way I came and started walking.

“River.” I whipped around and practically snarled at who was there.

“Adorabella, how dare you show your face to me.” She just smiled at me and walked towards me.

“You can’t still be angry with me? Come on that’s history.”

“You had me banished! And got hundreds of innocent people killed” I screamed at her. She backed up, fully knowing what I was capable of.

“You gave me no choice River. You broke our one and only law.”

“Was it worth it?”

“What?”

“Was marrying Adonis worth it?” She smiled an evil smile at me before disappearing.

“Oh it was so worth it.” I heard her whisper in my ear. I turned to find her right behind me and I jumped back. I stopped the rain falling above us and froze them into sharp spikes. I then launched them at her before she knew what I was doing. She screamed as one impaled her and I just smiled.

I know what you’re thinking. ‘Wow she has some problems.’ Well, Gods never die so that wouldn't kill her. But it sure can hurt like hell. She slowly pulled it out and threw it on the ground next to her.

“You will regret that, River. Don’t forget that you can actually die.”

“I’d love to see you try.” I growled at her making her step back, fear clouding her face.

“You are a monster. You always will be.” And with that she disappeared again and I had a feeling she wasn’t coming back. I ran back to my apartment and slammed the door behind me, not hungry anymore.
