My eyes fluttered open and I found myself in an unfamiliar room. Then it all came back to me. The fight, healing that man, and that mesmerising wolf. I looked around to find that I was all alone, but I could hear what sounded to be a shower running. I knew that I had to get out of there and this was my best chance.

I quickly untangled myself from the bed sheets and quietly stepped onto the wooden floor. I had two options: walk out the door or jump through the window. That was an easy decision. As I began walking I heard the water suddenly stop. I ran to the window and tried to pull it open but much to my dismay, it wouldn’t budge. I knew I was running out of time so I did the only logical thing left to do. I took the air around me and threw it full force at the window, causing it to shatter. It was at that moment that the bathroom door slammed open, revealing the very same man that I saved. He was even more handsome then I remembered. He had on only a pair of shorts, giving me a great view of his six-pack that still had water running down it. His eyes were the most beautiful silver color with blue specks that were currently glued onto me. He looked at me then at the window before finally realizing what was going on.

“Wait!” Before he could say anything else I had jumped out of the window. But instead of landing on the ground I flew up to the roof. I watched as he jumped out of the three story window, completely unharmed. That’s physically impossible! Even if I tried that I would at least break a bone! He looked around frantically before running towards a couple of men. I decided I had seen enough and knew I had to get out of there. I turned around and walked to the far end of the roof. I could see the edge of the forest and knew that was my best bet. So I backed up then ran to the edge, using the air to push me until I was deep inside. I then began running as fast as I could.

Archer POV:

She was gone! Why did she run from me? I am her mate and her Alpha. She should show me some respect. The fear that spread throughout my body as I watched her leap out of that window still lurks inside me. She should’ve been on the ground in pieces after that jump! By the way she smelled I could tell she was merely a human, so how did she jump out and disappear that fast? It’s like she just vanished! This is why I don’t want a mate. This constant worry and need was too much for me. The feeling of agony when she isn't around is unbearable. Kye came sprinting towards me with some of my pack members.

“She’s gone.”

“We will find her Archer. She couldn’t have gone far.”

“I was such an idiot! I left her alone and now she’s gone.”

“She won’t be gone for long, I promise. We will bring her back.”

“But that’s just it! I can’t pick up her scent! It’s only in the pack house, nowhere else.” Kye looked into the woods for a moment, smelling the air.

“You’re right.” I growled and ran my hand through my hair. I could feel my wolf howling inside me, wanting his mate. “Well why don’t we go back to where I found you two! She couldn’t be far from there! Hell, she probably lives in that town.”

I nodded and turned to the direction of Water Grove. I shifted into my wolf and began running. Kye ran up next to me and looked at me with a look of sympathy.

“We will get our Luna back." I howled and pushed myself to go faster. My little mate can run, but she can’t hide.

River POV:

Once I thought I was safe I stopped to catch my breath. I currently had no idea where I was and it was starting to get dark. I groaned and slammed my fist hard into the ground below me, then pulled my hand up causing the rock to take me up far above the trees. Once I was high enough I looked around to try and find a land mark. I could see the place where I was and found that it was more like a city than a house! It was huge! But that was all there was. No other town, no road. Just a forest. I looked up at the sky and let out a cry.

“A little help guys? Please?” I sat down in defeat. As I sat I felt something hard in my pocket. I gasped and pulled out my phone! I totally forgot I had it. It wasn’t an impressive phone but it had the one thing I needed; a GPS. I stood back up, waiting for the map to show me where I was. Once it loaded I was surprised to see how deep in the wilderness I really was. It was about one hundred or more miles to my little town of Water Grove. How the hell did I get this far out here?

I slammed my fist on the rock making it bring me back down. This was one of those times when I’m so glad that when the Gods cast me out they didn’t take my powers. I shot myself up with the air and began flying towards Water Grove.

By the time I got to the forest behind my apartment it was around one in the morning. I dropped myself on the ground feeling exhausted. I slugged up the stairs to my second story apartment and unlocked the door. When I opened it I was instantly greeted by Dobby who practically jumped on me.

“What is it Dobby?” As I looked closer he looked smaller then when I last saw him. I pulled my phone back out and looked at the date. “Oh my god, Dobby! I’m so sorry.” I ran to the kitchen with him trailing behind me. I poured almost the entire bag of cat food into his bowl and watched as he scarfed it down. I then filled his water bowl as full as possible and set it next to him. I had been gone for three days. I'm so thankful that Damon gave me those days off. That would’ve been hard to explain.

I walked into my room and stripped everything off. As I walked into the bathroom I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I looked awful! I was covered in dirt and had a cut down my arm and blood clumped in my hair. I walked to the shower and turned on the water. As it flowed out I stole some and used it to heal my wounds. Once I finished I stepped in to the boiling hot water, not caring if it burned my skin. As I stood there under the water I couldn’t help but feel broken. Something was missing inside me and I couldn’t figure out what it is. I scrubbed my skin of all the grime then washed my hair, making sure to get all the blood out.

Once I was as clean as could be I stepped out and wrapped a towel around me. I quiclky pulled a brush through my hair before walking to my dresser and pulling out a bra and the matching underwear. I then grabbed a t-shirt out of my tiny closet and pulled over my head. I walked to my bed and collapsed onto it, not bothering pulling the covers up.
