Archer:
I left my little mate in the shower, wanting nothing more than to jump in and join her. I quickly shook that thought out of my mind knowing that I needed to take things slow. I had to pull myself away from her so I didn't take those beautiful lips and kiss them senseless. But she's a human and doesn't feel the pull like I do. Just the smell of her is enough to drive my wolf crazy. I shut my bedroom door and began walking down the hallway.
"Archer!" I turned around and saw Kye running towards me. "The rouge is awake."
"It's about time. Take me to him. I want to see what he knows." We quickly let the pack house and walked to the Prison. Kye led me down the same route he did that day that I saw River for the first time. My wolf howled in pleasure at the thought of her. He was a selfish traitor. Here he is making it nearly impossible to forget about River when I don't want anything to do with a mate.
We walked down the second set of stairs and into where we keep the war prisoners. When we walked in I caught sight of him. He was sitting against the wall making popping noises with his mouth. When he saw me a smirk spread across his face.
"Ah, Alpha Archer. I would bow but I'm finding it hard to move. Thanks for that."
"What is your name and who do you work for?
"No please?"
"Now, Rouge." I said through clenched teeth, not in the mood to deal with this smug idiot now.
"Avery and I work for your best friend Damon." Wow this idiot was way too easy to crack. "You know, I'm getting the feeling that this is a one sided conversation."
"What were you doing out so far in the woods little puppy?"
"Taking a stroll? Bird watching? Are any of these good answers?"
"Don't test my patience, Rouge. I will snap that smug face of yours in two." He didn't answer but instead looked around the room.
"Nice place you've got. Although it could use some renovations, especially the bed! I'm gonna need some serious help from a chiropractor after this!" I growled at him only which caused him to smile.
"I'm going to ask again. Why were you so far out in the woods? When we found you, you were in a hole encased in rock. Care to explain?"
"Well, I was chasing this girl for the boss. Man he can't keep it in his pants. It seems like I'm always retrieving his runaways."
"Who were you chasing?" I already knew the answer but I needed to be sure.
"This girl named River. Man that bitch is crazy. Like literally crazy. " A snarl flew out of my lips and I stalked over to the bars.
"If you talk about her like that again I will snap your neck. Why are you after her? You better tell me or so help me I'll-"
"Alright calm down. Damn this girl has everyone swooning over her." He paused and looked at me before his eyes went wide, then he started laughing. "Oh man, this is rich. She's your mate isn't she?"
"Why were you chasing her?" I said again feeling very impatient.
"Sorry man, that's classified information."
"Tell me now." I yelled using my Alpha voice.
"Sorry, that shit doesn't work on me. I'm not in a pack therefore, no Alpha voice." He chuckled. I growled and walked back to the door, stopping in front of Kye.
