(Alexis' POV)

He was such a dork...but he was my dork. I laughed at him everytime he tried to look cool dancing but actually just made him look even more like a dork. I can't dance very well either so he laughed at me just as much. When we got too tired to dance we both sat on a chair, somehow we managed to fit onto one chair together...it was a big chair.

I tried so hard not to look at Cat but she was sitting there glaring at me. I kept getting texts from her but at one point Adam realized and took my phone and put it into his pocket then glared at Cat. She was so going to kill me. I tried so hard to focus on the party so I just laid my head on Adam's shoulder as he talked to friends from school. He kissed my head and continued talking.

After a while I got bored so I told Adam I was going to sit outside for a bit. He had offered to come with me but I said it was okay. I stepped outside and put my hands in the pocket of my sweatshirt then sat down on the porch. I looked up at the sky and saw the stars...I loved the sky so much...and the stars...it was all so beautiful. After about half an hour or so I heard the door open behind me, I turned around thinking I would see Adam but I was so wrong...It was Cat.

How could I have been so stupid to go outside alone? "Well hello freak!" she said the word proudly, like a snake. I closed my eyes "please just leave me alone Cat" I pleaded. She laughed and said "Do you think Im going to leave you alone when you're being extremely friendly with my ex?" yea so that's right...Adam had dated Cat the year before and when they were dating Cat was the same, she always kept him away from me as much as she could. Then one day Adam had enough and Cat blamed me for it.

"Cat it's not my fault Adam doesn't like you" I said standing up and facing her. "Oh he still likes me, do you really think he could like or even love someone like you?" Cat said smirking. It hurt hearing that but I did not want her to know that so I looked down. "Talking about ex's...I have a surprise for you" Cat said. I looked up at her curiously. She smiled and looked behind me. I turned around and saw Michael...my ex...he used to be so abusive but I never told anyone. Not even Adam because I was afraid they would get into a fight and he would get hurt. But Adam would have probably ignored it anyway.

"Alex!" Michael said while pulling me into a hug. I stayed still and didn't hug back. "M-Michael, um hi" I said quietly while stepping back. "Alex I know it's been a while but I was thinking maybe we could get back together" Michael said smiling. "Actually I have a boyfriend" as soon as I said that Michael stopped smiling "Oh really?" he said stepping closer as I looked down. I had always seen Michael in school and he had gotten taller and bigger since the seventh grade...he looked more like a thug than a sixteen year old boy.

"Well Im sure you don't care about him as much as me do you? Because Im not gonna lie, you look a lot better than seventh grade Alex" he continued. I turned around wanting to walk back inside but Cat was still there. Suddenly I felt Michael put a hand over my mouth and pulling me backwards. I tried to scream but his hand muffled any sound from escaping. He turned me around and tried to kiss me and I pulled away. His grip was strong and hurt but I still pulled as hard as I could trying to free myself.

Just then I heard the door open from behind Cat and I turned my head to see Adam. 'Thank god' I thought. But I was so wrong. He should have stayed inside because this was about to get bad...very bad.
