Chapter 15

(Alexis’s POV)

We laid like that for a long time. I then sat up and looked at Adam, he was asleep. I laughed a little and got up to go take a shower. I grabbed some clothes from my closet and walked into my bathroom and locked the door. I took a shower and then changed into the clothes which were black leggings, a black tank top and a red flannel to cover up my bandages. I then put my hair into a messy ponytail and walked out of the bathroom. Adam was still asleep so I decided to have some fun with that.

I grabbed a pillow and stood at the edge of the bed and started hitting him with the pillow screaming “WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!” He just rolled over and groaned “Alex Im tired” I then jumped on top of him and bit his neck playfully.

“Ouch!” he said. I laughed a little and got up. He rolled back over and opened one eye to look at me. I stuck out my bottom lip as he smiled and said “OK...OK Im up” He sat up and smirked. “What?” I said raising an eyebrow.

Just then Adam pulled me down and kissed me. I laughed and said “What was that for?” He shrugged and answered “You’re just so beautiful”

Someone then knocked on the door and I said “Come in” My mom walked in and smiled. “And where are you two going?” I smiled back and answered “We are going shopping cause tomorrow Asher is having a summer party, Is that okay?”

“Is Adam going?” She asked. Adam and I nodded and she said “Well then of course its okay sweetie” She said and then asked “Do you guys want to have lunch?” I looked at Adam then back at my mom.

“We are fine, I think we’ll eat at the mall or something.” I said. She just shrugged and said “Have fun” she was about to leave when she turned around and I held up a hand and said “I know…But not too much fun” I laughed as she closed the door behind her. I got up to check my phone and as I turned it on I saw a message from Cat.

Cat: You are in for some real shit coming your way Felson

I felt Adam come up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist and place his chin on my shoulder. I quickly turned my phone off. I didn’t want him to worry.

“Ready?” I asked. “Mhm” he answered. I then grabbed my bag as Adam took me by the hand and dragged me out of the bedroom and downstairs and out the front door. I smiled as we walked down the road.

I watched the buildings passing and just thought about what Cat meant. I felt someone looking at me so I turned around and saw Adam looking at me. “You okay?” he asked. I nodded and turned away. I then felt him pick me up and throw me over his shoulder. I screamed and laughed.

He carried me all the way to the mall. When we got there he put me down and smiled then kissed me. I smiled back and kissed his nose.  He laughed and we walked into the mall hand in hand.
