Chapter 26

(Adam's POV)

*3 Days Later*

I had spent the past three days trying to fix what's wrong between Alexis and I. The night before I had an idea to tell Cat to meet me somewhere and ask her to tell Alexis the truth. So I had woken up and texted Cat and when she agreed I blocked her number again. This was her fault, everything that happened was her fault. I changed into a pair of jeans and a 'Current Joys' T-shirt. I walked downstairs to find my mom in the living room. I had explained everything to her and she decided not to keep me in my room for life. I kissed her on the cheek and said goodbye before leaving, I grabbed my skateboard and left the house.

I was meeting Cat at a nearby mall, when i got there I made my way inside and sat in the food court. After about five minutes, I saw Cat walking towards me. She smiled but I just stood up "Did you finally realize how much of a freak Alex is?" she asked standing in front of me. "No, she isn't a freak or fucking crazy. She's perfect in every possible way and I don't understand why you won't just leave her the hell alone" I said sternly. Cat's smile turned into a smirk "Because she's pathetic and you deserve so much better than whatever she is." I looked at her with disgust "She's not pathetic, you're actually the pathetic one here because you have nothing better to do with your miserable life and no, I don't need someone better than Alex because she's the best there could ever be" I said glaring at her. I could tell she was getting annoyed, she sighed and said "What do you want then? Why did you want to meet me here?" I grabbed my skateboard and said "You tell me how that text got to your phone and how you found out, then you leave Alex and I alone" Cat rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone "Fine but I want at least a hug in return" I nodded with no emotion. "I got a hold of your phone at the party when you left it on the chair you were sitting on. I found out about Alexis because my dad works at the hospital. There, happy now?" she said opening her arms to hug me. I went in to hug her stiffly when she suddenly pulled me down and kissed me quickly before I pulled away. "WHAT THE FUCK CAT?!" I shouted. She smirked and looked behind me, I turned to see Alexis and one of Cat's friends. Cat's friend was smiling as Alexis looked at me and shook her head then turned and ran. "ALEX WAIT!" I called after her. Before I started running after her I turned to Cat and said "You're a disgusting excuse of a human being" then turned back around and ran after Alexis out of the mall.

Once I was outside I saw that Alexis had taken a taxi, I started to skate for my life. I knew she was going to try and hurt herself and I couldn't let that happen again. I was out of breath after a while but I knew I had to keep going. She had to know the truth...she had to. How could cat do that, of course I should have seen it coming, I was so stupid. I had to fix this...i had to.
