Chapter 12

(Adam's POV)

I waited for her to answer. She kept looking at the floor and smiling to herself. Then she raised her head and said quietly "I Love you too"

I smiled and said "I want you to be mine Alex...My princess...My girl...My world...My everything...will you let me be yours?" I waited.

She smiled and pulled me into another kiss. "Is that a yes?" I asked smiling as we pulled away out of breath. She giggled...that laugh...I love her so much. "Yes! Yes you dork...I Love You" She said hugging me and crying a little bit. I cried with her but this time it wasn't because I was scared or sorry...It was because I had everything I ever needed in my arms...She was mine...She loved me and I loved her.

I laid beside her for the rest of the day as we talked and laughed. Then the doctor came in and I sat up. The doctor was short and gray haired. He didn't look old though. The doctor looked at the clipboard in his hands and then looked at us and smiled

"You are very strong you know that?" he said to Alexis. She smiled and said "Thank you" then the doctor continued "A lot of people who lose that much blood don't make it...but you did...you are special" I smiled to myself and thought 'He is right she is special and she is mine' I still couldn't believe the most beautiful girl in the world was mine...I loved her so much.

"You will be able to go home by tonight" said the doctor. We both smiled and Alex nodded.

"Come with me young man" the doctor said to me motioning for me to follow him outside. I looked at Alex and she nodded "I'll be fine" she whispered. I smiled back and gave her a quick peck on the lips before I walked out.

I closed the door behind me and waited for the doctor to say something. He looked up at me and said "She has healed a lot...but I am afraid that if she ever self harms again, and loses that much blood...she won't be as lucky" I sucked in a breath.

At that moment I told myself that I wouldn't let anything ever happen to her where she would feel the need to hurt herself ever again. I couldn't lose her. She was everything to me.

 I nodded and said "Thank you doctor" He smiled weakly and said "You take care of her" I smiled back and said "With my life" then walked back into the hospital room.

I saw Alex watching T.V and smiled then went to lay beside her. She looked up at me and kissed my neck. My stomach did somersaults. She let her head rest on my shoulder and I kissed her head. We sat like that for a long time. Just watching T.V and enjoying each other's company.

I took her hand in mine and intertwined our fingers. They fit together perfectly. I knew at that moment that we were made for each other. She was mine and I was hers. It was meant to be this way. "I love you" she whispered. I couldn't tell her how much more I loved her in words. She would never know how much she meant to me.

"I love you more Alex...You are everything to me" I whispered back. I didn't know why we were whispering but it felt...right. Everything about that moment in that hospital room felt right. And I thought to myself 'So this is what Love feels like'
