(Adam's POV)

She was always good at skating...even for a girl. What can I say?...She is my best friend. I watched her head bob to the music as we skated to school. God she was beautiful...I had known her my whole life but somehow over the past year, I dont know, something changed. I Mean yes I have always loved her and looked after her. Even when she had heartbreaks from those douch boyfriends of hers. She did not deserve that. She always told me that she didn't feel pretty, but all I can say is she isn't pretty...she is way beyond that...she is beautiful! Over the summer things just changed between us, she was keeping things from me but i didnt know what. She was hiding something and I needed to know what. If she didnt tell me...then something was really wrong. I mean I mind her personal space but when she acts that certain kind of way...There is something wrong, I could just feel it. But that wasn't the only thing. Everytime I saw her after that was just different...I got butterflies when she smiled at me...God...That smile. Everytime she laughed I fell more in love with her. Everytime I heard her voice it made me smile. I kept these feelings to myself though...I couldn't tell Alex. What if she didnt feel the same? She would think I was weird and wouldnt talk to me. I couldnt do that...I love her too much. I never wanted to lose her...She was everything to me.

I watched the wind blow her hair in every direction and make her cheeks flush with color. She looked straight ahead...and her eyes...those eyes! She turned to look at me and smiled. I smiled back and looked away before she saw me blush. I couldnt let her know the way I feel...I just couldnt. We reached the school and I stepped off of my skateboard and took my headphones out. I watched Alex do the same. "Well...It's the last day of school...summer break after this...what are you planning to do?" she asked. "Nothing. Probably pull out some video games or movies oh and definatly write more poems. What about you?" I asked looking at her. She looked down as we walked. Kids were pulling up into the Linken Highschool parking lot. Laughing and talking about the summer to come. "Well...I dont know...probably just write songs and stuff and finish up some reading...Oh that reminds me, Im coming over today, Mom has ladies night in, That okay?" She aksed. Of course I didnt mind spending time with her. "Sure, what movie do you wanna watch?" I asked as we walked up the school steps and into the school. There were couples holding hands and cliques blocking the halls. "Anything is fine with me, as long as I am spending time with my best friend" She said. "Wait, who's that? you have other plans? you have another best friend? since when?" I asked sarcastically. She laughed and gave me a playful push. "I meant you, you dork" she said walking up to her locker. I leaned on the locker beside hers and watched her put books into her pitch black backpack. "I know, but you love me. Even if I am a dork, Im a cute one" I said while putting my hands under my chin and looking up, trying to look like an angel. "Ya sure you are" She said sticking her toungue out playfully. God I loved her. "Oh you're getting it!" I said before she squeeled and ran down the hall as I chased her. I caught her by the waist and spun her around as we both laughed. The bell rang. Class was starting.
