(Alexis's POV)

I heard my alarm go off. Why did school have to start so early? I hated it. I slowly got out of bed and checked my phone. I had a text from Adam. 'Hey Alex I'll pick you up for school in 10' I turned my phone off and sat up. I walked over to the window and pulled the curtains aside. It was going to rain. 'Maybe school would be cancelled?' I thought. HA! Never in a million years...that stupid school was always open even if there was a freaking tornado I wouldn't be suprised to see teachers walking into the front door. I walked into my bathroom and turned on the light, and looked into the mirror. I looked horrible as always, those boring gray eyes and Long brown hair. And my skin! As pale as a ghost. I never liked the sun anyways, night was my kind of thing. I brushed my teeth and hair. Then I changed into some ripped jeans and a sweater. I grabbed my phone from my bedside table and turned it back on. There was a missed call from Adam. I dialed his number and held the phone to my ear. He picked up after the first ring as always. "Dude where are you? I've been waiting outside for like five minutes" Adams voice sounded calm but annoyed. "Im coming, lemme just grab my skateboard" i said while gathering my things into my backpack and swinging it over my shoulder. I hung up and slipped on a pair of black converse shoes, which I had for three years. They were worn out but they were my favorite shoes. I grabbed my skateboard and ran downstairs. "Morning honey!" my mom said from the kitchen. "Want any breakfast?" "No thanks mom, Adam is here" I said walking into the kitchen and kissing her on the cheek. "Ok, do you two have any plans for tonight? If you do you need to tell me because I have ladies night in." She said. I rolled my eyes and smiled. "I think I'll go to Adam's" I yelled from the front door. "Okay. Have a nice day honey" She said before I shut the door behind me.

It was cold outside. I was greatful to have worn a sweater. I saw Adam waiting for me on my front steps. He stood up and turned to look at me. He had the same Blonde hair and blue eyes as he had always had, and that lip peircing he had got two summers ago. Almost every girl in school thought he was attractive and always asked me to help them get a date with him. But Adam on the other hand did not like dating that much. He said it was a waste of time. I walked up beside him and smiled. "Morning" I said. He smiled back with that picture perfect smile that all the girls fell for. I hated how they liked him because of his looks and not him. He was the sweetest person you could ever know, but was a complete dork at the same time. We had been friends since kindergarden. We grew up together. He was the only one I told everything to, and when I say everything I mean 'EVERYTHING'! Like the guys I liked when I was younger and the people I hated and the things I did wrong. He even helped me calm down after I started panicking when I got my period for the first time at his house...It was really embarresing. I started walking as Adam grabbed his skateboard and ran up beside me. He was tall, at least six foot two. I on the other hand was really short for my age, like five foot three. He looked like a giant beside me. "Ready?" He asked as he got on his board. I nodded "Ready". I put my headphones in and he did the same. I put on the song 'sattalites' by Sleeping With Sirens as we both started skateboarding our way to school. That was our thing, Music. There was just something about it that brought us closer somehow. We did that every morning on our way to school. I felt connected to him through it somehow...
