Chapter 16

(Adam's POV)

She took my hand as we walked in. "Where do you want to go first?" asked Alex. "Wherever you want babe" I answered smiling as I look down at her into her eyes...Those beautiful grey eyes. She nodded and pulled me into 'H&M' I couldn't help but smile as I watched her pull piles of clothes off of the stores racks and rush into the dressing room. "Wait outside and I'll try them on. Then you have to give me your honest opinion on what you think okay?" she asked raising her eyebrow. I laughed a little and nodded "Okay" 

Ech outfit was perfect because so was she. I could never see her otherwise. She eventually got annoyed and picked a dress out herself. She was so cute when she got mad. We argued about who would pay and I convinced her to let me pay in the end. We then walked to the food court and got some lunch.

After the mall I gave Alexis a piggy back ride to the park. We walked hand in hand. I heard her phone make a ding noise. She looked at her phone and put it away.

"Who was it?" I asked.

She looked sad suddenly. I stopped and stood infront of her. She looked down and I put my hand under her chin and lifted her head to make her look at me.

"We promised...tell me...please" I begged as I pulled her into a hug.

She wrapped her arms around me and buried her face in my shoulder. She was short and it was adorable. I rested my chin on her head.

"It was cat" she said almost too quietly.

"What did she say?" I asked.

"She keeps threatning to hurt me" she said in a shaky voice.

I ran my hand up and down her back and let it rest on the small of her back as i looked at her. I looked into her eyes and and smiled. Everytime i looked into her eyes I could see everything...all of her pain and how scared she was...but also her happiness and love...everything.

"I wont let that happen you know that right?" I said as i kissed her. She nodded and i said "good...love you baby

She smiled and said "I love you too"

We then walked back to her house hand in hand. We stopped infront of her door.

"I have to go...mom wil be worried" I said while stuffing my hands in my pockets.

"I know...meet you tomorrow for the party?" she asked.

I nodded and said "I'll pick you up at 4" I leaned in and kissed her as she kissed back.

We pulled away and I put my forehead on hers and looked into her eyes "Goodnight beautiful" i whispered.

"Goodnight my little dork" she said giggling. Her laugh made my heart race. I smiled and waved to her as I walked down the driveway. She blew me a kiss and I pretended to catch it and I my hand to my heart. She walked inside and closed the door.

I walked silently smiling to myself. She was getting better...That made me feel so much better. I thought so myself 'wow...she has changed my life...im never letting her go...she is mine...forever.' I walked as the wind blew and i pulled my jakcet tighter around myself. I could still smell her ...she smellled amazing...she smelled like...well...Alex. And I still felt her lips on mine. I put my fingertips to my lips and smiled again. She is mine...I stil couldn't believe she was mine...Alexis Lyle was mine.
