"Let's grab some popcorn tomorrow." Colton spoke out of the blue. He tapped on the steering wheel and glanced to his side, grinning like a fool.

Elis quirked an eyebrow to that. "You have a movie in mind?" She paused. "Or did you bought a new anime?" She continued, looking out in the rain.

"Both I guess." he shrugged then he made a turn to right coming in the conjunction of the street. In the midst of the patters of the rain, a plain white house came into view.

"I don't know, but I think there's nothing much tomorrow. When?" She glanced back at Colton when he drove into a stop in front of the house.

Colton grinned happily and nodded. "I'll ring you then."

Elis made an disinterested face and shook her head a bit. "You told Lily yet?"

Colton nodded. "Of course I did, or else I will suffer a week of deafening silence from her and that certainly ain't on my list for this year of seniority." He laughed heartily but there was something off in his laugh.

Suddenly he stopped laughing when Elis unlocked the door. It was kinda weird, Elis stopped for a moment. She peered to Colton on the driver's seat. "You know, if there's something bothering you, you can tell me."

Colton gave her an empty smile before he shook his head. "Don't slip on the pavement, I don't trust your brain stem to control your stability," he said with a smirk.

Elis gave him a death glare before she open the door. "Shut up," and slammed it close before running towards the door. In wasn't locked. Maybe mom was already home. Elis didn't feel good about today and somehow she kinda regretted coming to school. Yes, she is blaming it on the school because what ever happened that day felt weird and she can't handle any peculiarity at home, it worn her out to death it seems.

"Elis, dear? Are you back?"

She heard the voice coming from the kitchen. Elis sighed. "Yeah. Mom, Colton and Lily might hangout tomorrow night if that's okay?" Elis walked into the kitchen where her mom was. It seems she was baking something and Elis should be expecting the goods will gave out delicious aroma that might cal Elis down in the middle of the night.

Paula nodded, her hand busy with the ingredients. "Make sure Colton slept on the co-"

"My God, MOOOOmmm," Elis whined not wanting to hear the pep talk again.

"It was just a joke honey. Do you want dinner?" Paula asked when Elis climbed the stairs.

"I've had it with them just now, you don't have to make anything."

"Alright. Wash up and get ready to bed okay," Paula reminded, her voice getting blurry downstairs when Elis opened the door of her bedroom.

She switched on the lights, throwing her bag on the bed and groggily walked into the bathroom. It wasn't usual that she would get sleep so early in the night, but it feels like she had to or else she won't get any of it past midnight. It was an odd condition to begin with, but it had gone for almost a month and she kinda took a lesson from blacking out and unconsciously bled her nose in class.

And on top of that, right then, even the bed looked very inviting.

"FUDGE-" her eyes snapped wide open. Elis was sweating viciously, a drop of sweat slowly slid down on her neck. Her top was wet with sweat and she was breathing heavily, her hands were cold as ice. She threw over the blanket from her body and sat up. Her heart beats so fast her breathing could hardly keep up with its pace. Elis could even hear the rhythm of her own hear drumming into her ears. She pressed a thumb on her head and put the other hand on her chest then she rubbed them slowly.
