It has been almost two months and surprisingly, Zach became good friends with them and Lily appreciated his presence more than Elis could ever imagine. Lily wasn't the one who will like people and two months was actually a very short time because it took almost a year for Elis to win her heart. Well, actually, Elis couldn't remember how they become friends in the first place and Elis was certain she never really did anything to win her over, but here they were, having lunch together under the big tree at the back of the school cafeteria with Zach in their small circle of friends.

To add more notes onto Elis' unintentional observation, it seemed Colton has been trying to distance himself from her. Although it wasn't really obvious, but she didn't really fond of the changes. She didn't really comment on that and she didn't have the heart to say anything about it. But she could feel it, and the time will eventually come when they have to talk about it. Because honestly, she felt her heart gradually cracking and she just hoped it won't get broken too soon.

PLOP-!

"Awww ffff-!" She snapped her head, sending Colton a glare. "What the hell?! That wasn't necessary!" She yelled at him. She was literally pissed off.

"Well, it wasn't necessary for you to stare at me like I was some replica you took interest in buying. I'm fucking fab, thanks for staring," Colton laughed his jolly laugh. He elbowed her, grinning like a fool.

"Goodness heavens! I wasn't staring you narcissistic fool. I was thinking!" She slapped the back of his head, but he didn't stop laughing.

Zach chuckled, taking the water cup from Colton. "You kinda did," he commented softly.

"Oh, then you can prove what was in your head before he threw the ice cube in your face just to shut him up." Lily said, smirking. She obviously enjoyed torturing Elis.

Elis shot her a look of disbelief and shook her head. "You wouldn't-"

"Oh, I insist. Please, Elis, we are listening." Lily encouraged her giving her a knowing wink. Truthfully, Elis hated when she did that, it was fairly annoying and it got on her nerves. Lily sure knows how to get her off.

Of course that included when people stared intently at her, expecting and anticipating whatever her mouth will spill. She cursed in her head, glaring once again at Colton. "It's really nothing. Don't let it bother you." Elis brushed it off, waving her hand and pulled the strap of her bag when she got up. She crumpled her lunch pack and gave Colton an irritated smile before she walk off.

Lily, Colton and Zach exchanged looks before Zach got up. "She'll be fine-" Colton started to speak but Zach quickly cut him, "I know." He stated easily, shooting him a glance before he ran to catch up with Elis.

"Well, she's not very hard to read. We'll figure it out soon enough," said Lily.

Colton smiled and nodded. "I know..." He muttered under his breath. He sounded bitter somehow. But Lily did not say anything about it although she could hear it in his voice. He didn't really hide it though. He felt a bit frustrated because he sort of, knew what she thought just then.

He didn't realise when Lily had gotten up from her seat. Lily patted his back and gave him a small smile of reassurance when he looked up to her. "It's not pretty isn't it, when it's easy." She stated lowly.

Colton sighed heavily, ignoring the ache in his chest. "Let's go." He muttered, finishing his remaining juice.

"Are you sulking?" He asked right when he caught up with Elis' pace.

"Huh? What? Wh- sulking?" She asked back, glancing at him with a frown. They stopped at their respective locker.
