Elis shifted a bit, to gaze up to the sky. She snuggled close to Zach, feeling warm and safe in his arms, she wished it never ends. He was still sleeping, the beat of his heart was a serene symphony under the dark night. The half moon shone bright with stars scattered around it.

She remembered the kiss. She remembered she had cried after. She remembered she the over whelming confusion after the kiss. How it felt right but at the same time the ache inside her chest throbbed, ripping open an old wound she didn't remember having. When she dwell longer about it, she was actually afraid. But she didn't know why she was afraid and- guilty.

The soft touch lingers on her cheek and stopped under her chin, pulling her face slowly. Their eyes met, he had this small smile on his lips. His eyes were still half asleep, eyelids hanging low she barely saw his pupils. "Are you cold? You wanna get inside?" He asked, whispering.

She didn't say anything for a while, getting lost in those barely open eyes then she nodded timidly.

"Okay," he said but didn't immediately move. Instead, he hugged her closer to his chest, inhaling her scent as if trying to bury them in his memories so he won't miss it later.

They held close to each other for a while, Elis listening intently to his heart beat gradually thumping fast. She wondered what his thoughts were at the time.

"Okay," he repeated once again, but yet again, didn't move an inch.

Until Elis lets out a chuckle. Somehow amused. "We gotta get inside." She managed, wriggling out from his embrace.

A part of her regretted as the cold hits her like a crashing wave. She manage to stand up, looking down at Zach who was lazying on the sheet. She laughed even though her throat felt like she just swallowed sand. She gave out a hand and he gladly accepted. Elis helped him onto his feet and they packed up the things they brought out and put them in the car. The used the sheet to cover them once they got comfortable at the back seat. It was cramped but they snuggled close to get comfortable with the heat radiating from each other.

"This is kinda good..." She murmured, not wanting to break the comfortable silence that engulf them in such warmth and serenity.

He hummed, the small sound sent vibrations throughout her body.

"You okay?" He asked after a beat of silence.

"It must be weird..." She started, craning her head to look up at him. Elis inhaled deeply and sighed.

"Weird?"

Elis pushed herself up. Zach sat up right after. She rubbed her temples, trying to ease what ever thoughts she had in her mind. "Well, I did cried." She stated, glancing hesitantly at him.

"Did you... Hated it? I mean, I'm sorry, maybe I was-"

"No- No... It's not that. I kinda liked it actually. But-" she paused, throwing a look out from the window towards the sky. "I wasn't sure... I love to be in your arms, I like the warmth..." She kinda stopped in her words, suddenly she lost all the right things she wanted to say which were none. She turned back to him, eyes wide.

"Zach..." She called out for him like he was far from her reach. But he got her in his arms, cradled her close. "It's okay, it's alright..." He assured her, kissing her head.

"I'm sorry. I just- this happened so fast. I don't know what to think, I don't know. I just... I'm sorry." She apologised, sputtering words that popped first thing in her mind. It was like an urgency if she didn't say it quickly, she'll lose everything.

"It's alright, really. This sort of thing takes time," he said, his voice soft and soothing. He pulled her face so she would look in his eyes. It was looking into an abyss, far further down you'll lose yourself into a void. But the emptiness was somethings he wanted to explore further because out of the broken pieces he held her close in an embrace like it was a glue piecing every part of her together. "There is so much thing unexplained and maybe we have no idea, but I know soon enough we'll figure this out." He told her, leaning forward until their nose touched.

She was anxious. Her hands trembled slightly.

"Hey Elis?"

She didn't reply.

He leaned in and peck at the corner of her lips. "I love to be in love with you." He confessed earnestly.

Elis took a sharp intake of breath and nodded.
