Chapter 12: Scars

'Is it her?' Sakura thought. "Does this girl happen to have white hair and bright red eyes?" Sakura asked.

They all looked at her shocked. "How did you know?" Kakuzu asked. "I've seen her. Wait, I'll go get her." Sakura said, grinning as she sprinted off.

She returned to that lone tree and saw Cyro sitting alone, waiting for the fireworks. "Hey, Cyro!" Sakura said. Cyro brightened up and greeted Sakura back.

"What do you say you meet some of my friends?" Sakura asked, making Cyro confused. Cyro was about to ask why, when Sakura carried her piggy back style. "Hold on tight." Sakura said, sprinting back towards the hill.

"Oi, she really did f**king meet her." Hidan said, shocked. Sakura settled Cyro down. "These are my family, Cyro. Don't worry, they don't bite. " Sakura said, smiling at Cyro. "Wahh, you're that girl who won't talk to us'ssu!" Akemi said. Cyro hid behind Sakura. "Well, see ya later Cyro. We have an errand to do." Sakura said, running away with the Aktsuki.

"Come play with us some time!" Posei exclaimed, making Cyro look at him in shock. "Y-you're not afraid?" Cyro asked. "Why would we be afraid?" Haema asked, raising his eyebrow. "B-because I-I killed my parents." Cyro answered quietly. With this said, Cyro looked at their expressions, but was unable to because of the shadows covering their eyes.

"Akemi, Akuma, Posei, Yuki, Yura, Haema and I. We are no different, Cyro-chan." Kuro said, looking straight at Cyro with her white eyes. "That's right, kill or be killed. That is the golden rule of this world." Akuma said, showing Cyro her scar on her nape. The others did as Akuma. "See? We're all the same!" Yuki said, grinning. "In this world, being alone doesn't mean survival. It means a lone death." Yura said.

Cyro looked at them in shock with tears present in her eyes. "Now come on! The fireworks is starting!" Posei said, pulling Cyro to sit beside him and watch as fireworks and smoke covered the night sky. Cyro looked at the others and smiled a little. For the first time in her life, she's experiencing true happiness.

With the Akatsuki...

"Great job giving the girl some friends, Sakura." Pein said as the whole group watched the kids behind the bushes. "Wah~ They're all so small and cute~~" Tobi cooed. Deidara hit him over the head, hushing him. "But you know," Sasori started, making everyone look at him.

"Those kids somehow resemble us." He continued. "Hn. They experienced fear and pain at a very young age." Itachi said. "Well, lets say goodbye. Time to go home." Kisame said, carrying three crates of sake. "Where did that (f**king) come from(,un)?!" All of them exclaimed.

A few minutes later...

"Ja ne, minna!" They said, walking away. "Sakura-nee-san!" Cyro shouted, making Sakura stop. "Thank you!" Cyro shouted. "Take care of your friends." Sakura said, not looking back as she waved her hand goodbye once again.

The following day...
"Orochimaru is planning a war against Akatsuki." Pein stated. "WHAT?!" All of them shouted, well, except for the 'cool' guys.
