Chapter 18: Sand To Living

The group came upon four tunnels. Trial of leeches, trial of spiders, trial of roaches and trial of butterflies. "Let's not split up. Please." Kisame said, sweat dropping. "I f**king agree." Hidan answered. "Let's go with butterflies." Sakura said, making everyone nod in agreement. With that they entered the trial of butterflies.

"This is more like a trial of the desert." Sasori stated as the group came upon a clearing full of sand. A lot like the desert I might say. Everyone suddenly pulled out their weapons as butterflies started appearing out of nowhere. "Now it's starting to f**king look like the trial of butterflies." Hidan stated as one butterfly settled on Hidan's arm. The butterfly injected its proboscis in Hidan's arm. A few seconds later, Hidan's arm got numb. "What the f**k?!" Hidan shouted, making everyone look at him. "What's wrong?" Kisame asked. "My arm got f**king numb." Hidan said.

Sakura's eyes narrowed as she observed the butterfly. "Don't let the butterfly touch you! Their proboscises are poisoned!" Sakura stated, throwing a shuriken towards Deidara, successfully piercing the butterfly. Sakura went to Hidan and extracted the poison.

All of them stayed together back to back as they killed series of butterflies. Deidara molded several clay birds and sent them flying. "Katsu!" Deidara shouted as the bombs detonated.

Sasori summoned a puppet container and started catching butterflies. "Why the f**k are you catching those things?!" Hidan asked as he swung his scythe. "They have great poison." Sasori answered.

Sakura sat on the sand and focused her chakra through it. A few minutes later, she made a tsunami out of sand, killing a huge amount of butterflies. Everyone looked at her in shock. "Where did you learn that?" Kakuzu asked, raising an eyebrow. "The kazekage was a good friend of mine." Sakura said, grinning.

Itachi did the fire ball jutsu, turning the butterflies into fries. "They have chakra." Kisame stated as he swung his Samehada, butterflies fainting in the process.

A few minutes later, flowers started appearing and everything started turning green. Everyone eyed the butterflies as they suck pollen from the flowers.

"What the--?!" Deidara said as he stared at the butterflies which started to grow as big as an eagle. "Water vortex jutsu." Kisame shouted, destroying the flowers. The butterflies looked pissed and started attacking.

Sakura punched one butterfly and caused it to smash into the others. Kakuzu wrapped this threads tightly on the butterflies, causing them to explode into bits. Hidan and Kisame swung their weapons at the butterflies. Sasori continued catching the butterflies for their poison. Itachi threw a kunai into the bushes as he heard a rustle.

"So you've found me." A light voice said as a guy with buck tooth and black moth-like wings walked from the bushes. "Welcome to the trial of butterflies. You should welcome something too." The guy said, grinning. "And what the f**k should we welcome?" Hidan asked. "Your death."
