Chapter 51: Formation For The Operation

"We don't want you to only be a memory, dattebayo. I might've hated you before but that's only because I only thought I knew you, the true you, dattebayo." Naruto said, grinning at Itachi. "First thing we have to do is beat the h**l out of Kabuto." Sakura said, grinning. "Yeah, dattebayo!" "You're quite a loud and lively bunch." Itachi monotonously said, smiling as he watched the two get fired up.

A week later, Sakura's wounds are fully healed. The whole Akatsuki and Naruto sat in the meeting room, discussing their formation for the operation.

"We split into three groups. The rear would be Zetsu, Tobi. Support every member of the operation if you see necessary. The middle would be Naruto, Kisame, Hidan, Kakuzu, Deidara, Sasori. Naruto and Kisame would be our core. Protect them at all cost. Hidan will protect North. Kakuzu will protect East. Deidara will protect South. Sasori will protect West. Your group will be the inner most layer of our formation with Naruto and Kisame as the core. The outer most group would be Konan and yours truly." Pein instructed. "What about Itachi and I?" Sakura asked. "You two would be the special group. Pursue Kabuto at once." Pein ordered.

"What about me? Why am I part of the core?"  Kisame asked. "You will serve as a second chakra reservoir if necessary and protect the Kyuubi from any way of ambush." Pein explained. "We move out in an hour. Dismissed." Pein said. The group dispersed and went on their separate rooms.

Sakura packed her kunai, shuriken, medical scroll and wore her gloves. "I'm going for another kill." She whispered to herself as she sat on her bed and out her palms together, intertwining her fingers.

She shut her eyes tightly when she remembered how Kakashi died. "It was a worthless death. An unnecessary death." She whispered, tears falling off her eyes. "And I'll never be able to attain myself for that sin." She told herself. Unknown to her, the Uchiha silently stood outside her room and heard everything.

The hour flew by like a raging wind. Everyone stood outside the hideout, ready for the Operation. "Go to your formation. We attack from the inside." Pein ordered. "How, un?" Deidara asked. "Has Deidara-senpai forgotten about Tobi's power?" Tobi said, jumping around. "Tobi is a good boy." Tobi shouted as he did his magic.

In a blink of an eye, the whole Akatsuki along with Naruto appeared in the middle of Konohagakure. Naruto meditated.

Later on, he appeared infront of the kyuubi's seal. "I got him to open up." Naruto said. "Yeah yeah." Kurama rolled his eyes as Naruto partially undid the seal.

He opened his eyes and saw Kurama's huge amount of chakra surrounding his body. Later on a bloody red Uzumaki logo appeared on their right forearms. "Move out!" Pein shouted as the group widened their formation little by little as the ANBU attacked.

Sakura and Itachi forced their way through towards where they suspected Kabuto to be, the Hokage tower. They stopped midway when Tsuande and Shizune approached them.

"Itachi, you go ahead. I'll catch up later." Sakura said, giving Itachi a smile. Itachi looked at her with worry present in his eyes. "Don't worry, we're just doing a little reunion." Sakura said, as Itachi nodded at her and went on ahead.

Without a single warning, Shizune and Tsunade attacked Sakura all at once. 'Their eyes are lifeless.' Sakura sadly thought. She jumped back when Tsunade sent a deadly punch at her. Her eyes widened when she felt Shizune's chakra behind her. Sakura dodged midair but felt a scratch from one of Shizune's poisoned knives. "S**t." Sakura cursed under her breath.

Sakura grabbed a kunai from her pouch and made a larger wound on the scratch Shizune made. 'I have to take out the poison before it takes effect.' Sakura thought as she made herself bleed and dodged Tsuande's deadly punch. Sakura pulled back her chakra filled fist and sent Tsunade flying a mile away. Shizune made her move and attacked Sakura aggressively.

A clone of Sakura appeared behind Shizune and successfully hit her pressure point. "Shizune!" Tsunade shouted as she ran full speed and attempted to punch Sakura right through the face. "Shizune, please tell me you're alright." Tsunade whispered as she kneeled down and checked Shizune for major injuries. Sakura smiled at this. 'Atleast they still have their heart.' She thought. As another clone appeared behind Tsunade. The clone successfully hit her pressure point and turned into puff of smoke.

"I'll come back with Kabuto's head." Sakura whispered with shadows covering her eyes as she walked away to catch up on Itachi.
