Chapter 4
"Sara, let's go to the lake!" I exclaimed because we were so bored.
"Really, Sophie?" Sara asked.
"C'mon, Sara. Just because Erika is with Dan doesn't mean we can't have fun! Why can't we go to the lake?" I whined.
"Fine, let's go." Sara said.
I changed into my bikini and put a dress on. I grabbed my towel and dragged Sara with me.
"Let's go." I pulled her.
"Ugh. I can't believe you're dragging me into this!" Sara groaned.
"Shut up, Sara." I said and dropped my towel at the end of the wooden pier. I took off my dress then jumped in.
"Come on! The water is awesome!" I said and swam further inside.
"I'm not feeling it, Soph. I don't like the lake. I only like pools." Sara said.
"You're such a sissy, Sara. No monster is going to come out, you know!" I said as I swam around and enjoyed the water.
"I don't like it." Sara shook her head.
"Oh what could possibly...-" I began but was caught off when something pulled me down into the water.
"Sara!" I screamed and kicked. I heard laughter and turned around to see Adam, Troy and Cameron laughing their asses off.
"What the hell?!" I screamed at Adam.
"I was just testing you, big badass." He grinned mischievously.
"I hope you die the most painful death. On my hand! The three of you!" I yelled. Cameron and Troy gulped and stood back.
"Aw, you didn't have to be so harsh on them." Sara said as she stared at Cameron laughing with Troy.
"Stop drooling." I said and pushed her.
Apparently, I pushed her a bit too hard and she was too busy staring at Cameron to focus.
So a funny thing happened... She fell into the lake.
A funnier thing happened, Cameron dashed to where I was and jumped into the water. He carried a coughing Sara up until he reached the stairs and climbed up.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I sat down on the floor next to her.
"Yeah, you just caught me off guard." She said not really paying attention to me but to the eyes of the boy right in front of her.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with someone like her." Adam told Sara as he and Troy arrived.
"Shut up, Adam. At least she doesn't deal with you." I said.
"Yeah, I don't really care." Sara said and I looked to see Cam smiling at her.
"I really want to go back to my cabin." She said and I stood up to give her a hand.
"Would you like me to carry you back there?" Cameron asked and I almost gagged. Apparently, so did Adam.
"If you don't mind." Sara said and Cameron grinned.
He picked up Sara and wrapped her towel around her.
"They're so sickening and sweet." I said as I followed them.
"Tell me about it." Adam said and walked next to me.
"I think it's cute." Troy said and I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Says the boy who bangs freshmen everyday." I said.
"Hey, just because I don't have a cute love story, doesn't mean others don't." He said and I nodded.
