Chapter 13
"What do you mean Adam and I have to paint the music room?" I asked Ron.
"Everybody's painting something. You and Adam will do the music room in light blue." Ron said simply.
"Why both of us? Why can't I be with someone else?" I asked.
"Because I said so. Now off you go." Ron said and I glared at Adam before stalking off to the music room.
"Hey! I didn't do anything!" Adam said.
"I don't care. I hate you." I said and grabbed the light blue paint bucket as Adam grabbed the other one and we went to the music room.
I kicked the door open with my foot and then put the bucket down on the floor next to the wall.
"We should push the things touching the wall in the middle first." I said.
"Already on it." Adam said as he started pulling a piano away from the wall then a bookcase. I could see his biceps showing as he continued pulling heavy objects away from the wall.
"Good." I nodded and started painting the wall in front of me.
"Are you still mad at the stupid prank I made yesterday?" Adam asked with a chuckle.
"Damn you, Rogers." I said and dipped the roller into the bucket then moved it across the wall.
"Come on, we're having fun here! We're going to bond and braid each other's hair when we're done!" Adam said sarcastically.
"What is it with you and braiding hair? If you want to braid hair, go get a wig. You ain't touching my hair." I said and flipped my hair.
"You call that hair? A mop has better hair than you." Adam snorted.
"Liar! My hair is awesome!" I said and continued painting.
"Yeah but it's missing something." He said and I heard his voice come closer.
"A hair clip?" I suggested continuing what I was doing.
"This will do." He whispered and I felt the hair on my neck stand up at how close he was.
But then I felt his hand grab a couple of strands of my hair and I realized that his hands had paint.
"Oh come on, Adam! Not blue paint again!" I groaned as Adam laughed.
"It suits you." He said and I shook my head.
"The other one just came out. Now I have to deal with this." I said.
"It looks good like that." He said and came closer again.
"Uh... Sure." I stuttered.
"Yeah, just shake it up a bit. Remember when you had short hair when you were sixteen?" Adam asked as he went back to painting the walls.
"Yeah, I remember. It didn't look bad." I shrugged.
"Yeah, but this suits you more. I like the long hair." He said.
"Yeah well thanks to you I have blue highlights." I said, glaring at Adam.
"You don't have to thank me, I know I'm so generous and kind." He said.
"Nobody likes you." I said.
"You're lying. Everybody loves me." He said cockily.
"I don't." I said.
"There you go again with the lying. You love me the most." He said and I burst out laughing.
"Sure, I love you the most. Why not?" I said between my laughter.
