Chapter 9
"Adam! Just listen to me! We have to be on the same tempo and since I have the stronger instrument, you have to follow my lead." I said.
"Ugh. You're too bossy. Let's try it again." He said and counted.
I grinned when Adam and I finally played together at the same time.
Adam grinned too and focused on his notes.
I focused on making my vibratos and long notes equally perfect and stayed on beat with Adam.
Adam and I almost finished the song when he accidentally skipped a note so we were off beat again.
"Oh come on! Adam we were going to do it!" I exclaimed and he apologized.
"Let's begin from this part." I said and pointed at the part.
"Okay." He nodded and we began together.
We tried to finish the piece a couple of times but we couldn't. So I called it a night because it was already one thirty.
"Adam, I'm so sleepy." I yawned.
"Come on, pack up." He said and I yawned again.
I put the cello in its case and carried it on my back.
"Try not to sleep while you're walking." He said and walked next to me.
"Hey, Adam? Why did you walk till here?" I asked as I arrived in front of my cabin.
"Oh... I didn't realize I was here. See you later, loser." He said and walked away very quickly.
I blinked once then opened the cabin door. I put my cello on the floor and climbed into my bed.
Why was Adam so weird?

My alarm beeped and I quickly shut it off.
Ugh... Really?! Kitchen duties on the day I slept so little.
Okay that's a lie because I slept like four hours before midnight practice and then after it.
I stood up and grabbed the first thing I could get from the wardrobe. I tied my shoelaces then put my hair in a ponytail.
I ran outside the cabin straight to the kitchen.
"You're exactly on time." Adam said as he grabbed some pans and eggs.
"Good. You're in charge of the eggs. I'm in charge of the bakeries." I said and started baking muffins.
I put the un-baked muffin into the oven and went out to check the bread. I grabbed the bread and put it on trays. I took the trays to the Hall and laid them out neatly in order.
I grabbed the cheese then put it out in the hall too.
Adam put the muffins and omelets out then we both decided to make sweet cupcakes with frosting.
"You're getting on my nerves! That's not how you freakin' crack an egg!" Adam exclaimed.
"Oh really? Is this how you do it?" I asked and slammed the egg on his head.
I watched the eggs contents drip from his hair to his shoulders and I couldn't hold in my laughter.
"It's more like this." He said and cracked the egg over my head.
"Ew! Adam, you jerk!" I exclaimed.
"What are you going to do about it?" He teased.
"Maybe something like this." I said and grabbed the bowl and poured the batter on Adam.
