Chapter 17
"Adam! Give me my phone!" I yelled while I was on Adam's back trying to slow him down and take my phone.
"Nope." He said with a grin.
"Adam, may I please have my phone?" I asked gently.
"Well when you put it this way," he started and I grinned. "No."
"Ugh! Adam!" I said and pinched him.
"Aw, he's giving her a piggy back ride." Erika cooed.
"No he isn't! Shut up! I'm supposed to be exhausting him with my weight." I said.
"You weigh less than a baby kitten." He said and I blushed.
"See? I'm not a fat ass!" I said.
"You have a fat ass." He countered.
"I do not!" I gasped.
"Whatever you say, Soph." He said and I hit him.
"Are you two coming to the camp visit?" Sara asked.
"Nah. I'm not feeling it this year. You guys going?" I asked.
Camp visit was this visit that happened every year. We got to visit a few places around that we're pretty cool. Sometimes we'd go to the beach or a museum or the amusement park.
"Yep! We're going to the beach this year. You guys sure you don't want to come?" Sara asked.
"Nah. I prefer going swimming at the...-"
"Lake! She loves the lake!" Adam stopped me before I accidentally made a slip of telling them about the hill.
"Yep. I love the lake." I said and Sara nodded.
"Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow." Sara said and I jumped down from Adam's back to hug her.
"Where's Erika?" I asked.
"She's sleeping in the bus." Sara laughed.
"Bye!" I waved at them and then I hit Adam.
"What was that for?" He asked.
"For taking my phone. Give it back!" I said.
"Who else didn't go besides us?" He asked as he kept my phone in his hand stretched above his head.
As if I could ever reach that.
"Only a couple of people. Like two more or three." I said.
"Cool. We have the whole camp to ourselves." He said and I nodded.
"Why didn't you go?" I asked.
"Like you said, I prefer swimming at the 'lake'." He said and I laughed. I grabbed my phone when he was distracted and put it in my back pocket.
"Let's go to the hill." I said and we parted ways to change at our cabins then we went up to the hill together.
Adam threw himself on the hammock and I went to the cabin.
I grabbed two root beers and went back to where Adam was.
I handed him a root beer and took my own.
"How do I know it's not cat pee?" He asked and I laughed.
"I promise it's normal root beer." I said.
"I hope." He said and opened the can.
"Chug!" He yelled and we started chugging down the drink to see who could do it faster.
