Chapter 10
"Race you to the hill!" I yelled and sprinted in the direction of the hill.
"You're going to lose no matter what, Sophie!" He yelled and ran after me.
I started running up the hill and of course it was the stupidest thing I had done in my life. I started panting but refused to stop and lose to Adam.
He started laughing as he saw me trying to catch my breath and he passed by me but I gave it a shot and ran fast. He was almost at the top when I jumped on his back.
"I won't let you win!" I yelled and he laughed.
"Get down, fat ass." He said and I pinched him.
"Ow!" He yelped and looked at his arm.
I jumped down and ran to the top. I started dancing once I reached the top and stuck my tongue out at Adam.
"You're a cheater!" He exclaimed and I laughed.
"Heck if I care." I said and took off my clothes.
Adam took off his shirt and jumped into the water. I followed and started swimming to the waterfall.
"We never went there." I said and he followed me.
We reached the waterfall and noticed that there was something behind it.
"Oh my god! It's like a cave!" I exclaimed once we entered behind the waterfall.
I pulled myself up on to the cold rocks of the cavern and sat down.
Adam sat opposite me and admired the place and the beautiful water that was cascading near us.
"What so special about that anklet?" Adam asked me and pointed at the anklet I was wearing.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's cute, but you've never taken it off. You wore it since the first day." He said.
"Oh. My dad got it for me when I was seven. It has dolphins on it because we both like dolphins and he used to take me to see dolphin shows. The aqua gem is for my favorite color." I explained.
"It's really cool." He said.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"What about that brown bracelet you're wearing?" I asked, it actually looked really familiar.
"Oh. It's nothing. Just a casual band I like." He shrugged.
"So who made you give up on girls?" I asked.
"I just don't get why I was doing it. It's not what I want or am." He said.
"It's hard to just change from a man whore slash player to a normal guy." I said.
"Gee, thanks Soph! You're such a bubble of sunshine!" He said sarcastically and I laughed.
"I'm just saying the truth." I said.
"Why did you break up with Tyson?" He asked.
"That's none of your business, Adam." I said.
"Oh I thought we were getting to be best friends and braid each other's hair." He said, rolling his eyes.
"Yep, you're still a jerk." I said and pushed him but lost my balance and fell on top of him.
Why did I always end up in awkward positions and situations with Adam?
His eyes were slightly wide and they were stormy with a mix of emotions.
Well this is weird.
"Don't get excited Adam, I lost my balance." I said and he smirked.
