Chapter 11
One thing I can't take my mind off... Connor's deep blue eyes.
And that almost kiss with him which has been replaying in my head like crazy.
Oh my freaking god, this is so wrong. I couldn't concentrate anything. What has gotten in to me? I despise him. I hate how he makes me feel uneasy. God, I only stared at his eyes for a couple of minutes and now all I have been thinking about is him.
"Rovie."
I look up to see my professor, in her neat bun, her nicely fit uniform, and then her eyeglasses resting on her nose, with her hands on her hips. I gulp, "Yes?"
"What's the answer?"
The what? I have never been so blank in my entire life, "Answer of what?"
"The one written on the board." she pointed her newly manicured nails to the white board.
I studied the numbers and letters on it. From the corner of my eye, I can see Connor waiting for my answer. Oh god. I almost forgot he's here. Concentrate. "Umm, x is uhh..."
Looking at her wrinkled eyes made my heart race. Why can I not answer? I know this, I know I know this.
"X is equal to five, Mrs. Go." my head snapped to the direction of the sound of a husky voice who answered for me. And I could not believe my eyes... Connor.
Our math teacher heaved a sigh, "I did not call your name Mr. McDonough. Take your seat, Ms. Abiera. And next time, pay attention."
I sat down embarrassed, Connor gave me a thumbs up, I rolled my eyes at him. He laughed at my unamused look.
This is the first time I didn't know the answer, let alone unfocused. I need to focus. I don't need a guy ruining my life and future. And I got embarrassed again by the same person. God knows how much I want to bury Connor alive.A few moments later, Mrs. Go gave us an exam which is answered for a short time. Thank the heavens it's easy as eating chicken pie.
As I let the numbers flow in my mind, while doing our exam, I couldn't help but glance at my blond nemesis. I can't believe he's just there sleeping.
How could he sleep in a 20-minute-50-item exam?
"Eyes on your papers."
I jumped upon hearing our professor's voice. I sunk in my seat concentrating on my answer. As soon as our prof announced that there is only ten minutes left, only to catch Connor taking his pen and answer his test paper.
Focus.
I tell myself.
Last number and I'm done.
"Last five minutes!"
I sat back, feeling relaxed since I finished my test. I couldn't help but glance at Connor still answering, how is he going to finish the test in a span of five minutes?
When he caught me eyeing him, he winked at me. I was taken a back. And my heart started to pound. What is it with him and his little ways of making me feel uneasy?
"Pass your papers."
Connor stood first and passed his test paper, which got me wondering how? How did he finish his test in a span of ten minutes?? Snapping out from my thoughts, I also passed my mine. Just in time the school bell rings, and out the people go.
After gathering my stuff, I waited for the hallway to dissipate before going out. I jumped to see Connor waiting for me. Which is weird. He smiled at me.
