~ Chapter Seven ~
"Stop waiting for Prince Charming. Get up and find him. The poor idiot may be stuck in a tree or something."
Aiden took Lily home first. "Bye losers." She said while walking up to her house, flipping us the bird. I laughed and Aiden just rolled his eyes.
I stayed in the back seat, even though the passenger side was open. I think I've had enough of Aiden for one day. Hell, who am I kidding? I've had enough of Aiden my whole life.
"You sure you don't want to come and sit with me, Red?" Aiden said, looking at me through the rearview mirror before pulling out. I rolled my eyes, "I'm sure Aiden. I'm more than comfortable back here." Aiden chuckled and replied, "I can make you comfortable up here." He looked through the mirror again and winked at me.
I laughed and said, "I'm sure your girlfriend would love that." Aiden didn't say a word.
He insisted of walking me to the front door when we came to my house. "Aiden, I'm fine. I'm sure no one is going to rob me between this two feet walk." Aiden looked over at me, smirking, "What if in some parallel universe, I actually wanted to walk you to your door?" I laughed in his face, "I'd tell you to lay off on the Fruity Peebles." He chuckled but gazed at me as if he held the secret to the world.
When we got to my door I opened my mouth to tell Aiden he could stop playing guard dog, when I heard a loud crash. My eyes widened and Aiden's jaw clinched. I quickly took my keys out from my pockets and opened the door.
My mouth hung open at the sight in front of me. There was my aunts Nelly and Debbie, dancing on the kitchen table. "Yes! We won! We won!" They cheered, slinging the whisky bottles around in their hands. I heard Aiden laugh behind me and I shot my head to glare at him.
When I turned back around, my eyes was meet with the imgage of Nelly and Debbie chugging down the whiskey bottles. My eyes widened and I ran over to them, climbing on the kitchen table. "Easy!" I yelled, grabbing the bottles out of their hands.
They pouted and looked at me with a sad expression, "Abbey, you're ruining our celebration." My eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "What celebration?" They both looked at each other grinning before turning back to me and yelling in sync, "We're going on a cruise for a month!"
A smile lit my face before I asked, "Seriously?" They nodded and I yelled with joy, grabbing them both for a hug and jumping up and down. "We won! We won!" We all three sang together. My eyes caught Aiden's and he looked... blank. Like he was hiding his emotions.
"I don't know if that table can hold you all up for long, especially you Abbey." Aiden said smirking. I glared at him; never mind, still a asshole.
After we all got done jumping up and down with joy, I helped Nelly and Debbie down off the table. Them stumbling and laughing all the way because they were drunker than skunks.
"How did you win a cruise?" I asked them, holding in my laughter to see Debbie stumble once more. Nelly smiled and replied, "Well, about a week ago there was this contest at the Super Market and they were going to give you free tickets and a paid for trip, all you had to do was write your name and number for the drawing. So today they had the drawing and, the rest is pistory." I laughed at her and shook my head, "You mean history, Nelly." She just laughed.
"Well that's great! When should we pack?" I asked them in excitement. They smiled and replied, right now, our plane leaves at nine." I nodded and dashed up the stairs, completely forgetting Aiden was in my house. I grabbed my suit case from the bottom of my closet and threw it on the bed. I dashed back over to the closet and just wrapped my arms around the clothes hanging, pulled them down, and carried them back over to my bed.
As I was running around my room, grabbing my tooth brush, toothpaste, face wash and stuff like that, Aiden walked in. I heard him chuckle as he watched me put everything in my suit case. "Packing the whole house?" He asked. I ignored him and climbed on top of my suit case, trying to make it small enough to zip. "Here, let me." Aiden said, walking over and zipping the rest up for me. I smiled up at him and replied, "Thanks." He blinked at me, surprised that I actually thanked me then smirked, "If you really want to thank me, let's shut your door." My smile vanished and I pushed him back. "You ruined the moment." He chuckled.
After I was done packing, I took my suit case down the stairs and met Nelly and Debbie. They were both grinning at each other and I matched their expression. "This is going to be so fun!" I said, and they both nodded their heads eagerly. Aiden came down and offered to take our bags to the car. As he was doing that, we locked all the doors, checked the windows, and went out after him. Debbie patted Aiden on the cheek, "Thank you baby." Aiden flinched a the word baby but smiled anyways. I got in the car, not even planning on telling him bye. Aunt Nelly and I waited for Debbie and Aiden to quit talking before she got in.
I jumped when Aiden tapped my window, signally for me to roll it down. I did, figuring he was wanting to say goodbye, and he smiled at me, "See you in a few, Red." My eyes scrunched in confusion as Nelly backed out of the driveway, leaving Aiden grinning from ear to ear.
I was surprised when Nelly pulled in Miranda's drive-way, but suddenly thought she was wanting to say goodbye before we leave. So we all got out and met Miranda at the door. "Hey guys." She said, hugging Nelly, Debbie, than me. We all smiled and Nelly replied, "We came to say goodbye before we leave, but we need to get going." Aiden's car pulled into the drive-way as Miranda nodded. "Okay, sure. Aiden! Grab Abbey's bags out of the car." I looked at her in confusion as I said, "Why does he have to get my bags?" Miranda laughed and rolled her eyes, "You're going to need clothes silly if you're staying here." My eyes widened and I laughed, "You got it wrong Mir, I'm going. Not staying here." She looked at me before laughing uneasily and turning to aunt Nelly and Debbie.
"You didn't tell her did you?" Nelly and Debbie both smiled innocently, and replied, "We figured you should be the one to tell her." Miranda glared at them and I spoke up. "Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?!" Aiden dropped my bag by my feet before replying, "I will. They are leaving you here for a month, while they go on a cruise. They only won two tickets, Red. Not three." I looked at him, "Don't lie." He chuckled and shook his head, "Don't say I didn't tell you so." He grabbed my bags and took them in the house. "Hey! Bring that back!"
"Well look at the time, we should be going." Debbie said before kissing my on the cheek. "Bye dear." Nelly did the same and I just stood there shell shocked. "Wait." They ignored me and got in the car, waving as they drove away. Miranda patted my shoulder and went in the house, sensing I needed time to myself.
I was staying with Miranda. With Aiden. For a month. When had my life turned into a horror movie?
As I stood there, staring at the now empty drive-way, Aiden came back and slung his arms over my shoulder. "Come on roomie, I'll show you to our room." With that he practically dragged my zombie like state in the house. My mind replayed what he said and I suddenly tensed. Wait. Did he just say "our room"?!
