"Hey" Brooklyn greeted Luke at his locker that Friday morning. He turned around to look at her.
"Hi.." he trailed off. He didn't know what she wanted with him.
"I wanted to talk to you about something important-"
"Brooklyn!" She was cut off. She turned her head intime to see Marcus walking over to her. She rolled her eyes.
"I was texting you last night, where were you?" he wrapped his arm around her waist, but she pushed him off.
"That's because I blocked your number and deleted it from my phone" she told him casually. Marcus furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"What did I do?" he asked her nervously.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were going to a party last night?" she turned her body to fully look at him, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I..... didn't think it mattered" he stuttered slightly.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were cheating on me with Ashley?" she asked him again, raising her brow to look at him.
"I... listen baby, I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing-"
"Bullshit, Marcus. I'm breaking up with you. I don't date cheaters" she gave him a hard glare.
"C'mon, don't be like that Brooklyn, we can work this out" he grabbed her hand, but she pulled it away.
"Don't talk to me ever again" she demanded, taking a step back from him.
"You can't break up with me" Marcus straightened his posture, squaring his shoulders as his jaw ticked in annoyance and frustration.
"Don't talk, text, or touch me, ever again" she took another step away from him, her confidence slowly fading away. She knew the look in his eyes.
It was the same look Kyle got before he would hurt her.
She took one more step back, her back hitting Luke's chest. She had almost forgotten that he was behind her. Luke placed both his hands on her hips, keeping her where she was. He was ready to move her out of the way if Marcus was going to do anything to her. He wasn't going to let him hurt her.
"You're going to regret this, b*tch" he spat in her direction, taking a daring step closer to her. Luke was infront of her in seconds, his hands holding Brooklyn's hips as she hid behind him.
Luke was taller then Marcus by acouple inches, giving him more of an intimidating element when he glowered down at Marcus, practically daring him to hit him or her.
Marcus took one last demaning look at Brooklyn, glaring at Luke, before he strutted off down the hallway, punching a random locker before he turned the corner.
"T-thank you" her voice was slightly timid as Luke turned around to face her.
"I wasn't going to let him hurt you" he told her. She nodded her head.
"What was it you wanted to tell me?" he changed the subject, which she was greatful for, and she immediatly went back to what she was going to tell him.
