"Hey"

"Hi"

"How are you?"

He gave her a wierd look as he paused from looking through his locker, "I'm fine"

"Are you sure? I just wanted to make sure tha-"

He slammed his locker shut, "I'm fine"

With that, Brooklyn watched as he walked down the hall. She couldn't explain the immense amount of hurt and disappointment that she felt when Luke showed that type of attitude towards her.

But she could tell that he had always been feeling that way lately. Hurt and disappointed.

Sighing, Brooklyn turned around and began to walk to her class alone, thinking over what she could do to reverse the amnesia put on her.

Get hit by another car? No.

Hit her head on something hard? No.

Bang her head against a locker? No.

No, no, no! Nothing was coming to mind and it was killing her.

After the first two classes, lunch came, and after that, her last two classes.

The day was boring without Luke either showing her around the school to some of their secret places that they hung out at, or talking to her about what they had done with each other during lunches. He would tell her more stories about their previous relationship as if it were an adventure story that they had went on. She wished that she could remember what they did. How they used to be. But she couldn't.

Her only hope now was to find out on her own.

At the emd of the day, Brooklyn walked home, seeing that her mother was out of the house for the evening. Without a second thought, Brooklyn grabbed her wallet and an over the shoulder purse/satchel, and she left her house, heading for Luke's which was right next door.

Once she had climbed up the proch steps, she rung the doorbell, awaiting for the familiar blonde to answer.

"What are you doing here?" were the first words out of his mouth when he opened the door and saw her standing there.

The slight hurt that that was his first reaction to seeing her might have been written on her face, and Luke quickly noticed his error.

"I didn't mean it like that," he quickly spoke, "I just wanted to know what you were doing here. Because I wasn't expecting you, a-and I-"

"It's alright. But I just wanted to see that you're doing alright? I'm sorry that I didn't remember you the other day"

"Wasn't your fault" Luke shrugged.

She shook her head in a dismissive way, but contiued with the real reason that she came to talk to him, "Listen, I just wanted to see if you wanted to do something today?"

Luke raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Like...like a date?"

Her eyes widened, "I-I uh, umm I- whatever you want to call it... would be fine-I-"
