Lyn Hall's POV - 25 / 12 / 2014 : Mystic Falls

I raised my beer to the crowd before me, "Merry Christmas!" The crowd erupted in pleased cheers, before the sound of slurps engulfed me. Beer cups turned over heads, some crashing to the ground left to be helped up by friends. I cheered sculling my own glass, my jet black hair let out as I threw my head back. Laughter rumbling in my gut my face splitting into a large grin, Kol's hands grasping my hips as he helped me down from the bar counter.

"Merry Christmas Lyn." I smiled embracing my best friend in a hug,

"You too Kol." We clinked our empty glasses together before exiting the overcrowded bar. I pulled my phone from my back pocket, carefully holding it to my ear.

"Evelyn is that you?" I took a measured pause, the silence settling over Kol and I as we stopped in the partially empty streets. Kol sensing my discomfort, took my phone.

"Sorry mate, I don't know a Evelyn." Kol's dark eyes met mine, as I gulped, my fingers immediately interlocking with one another as I began to fidget uncomfortably.

"Oh, uh I'm sorry," the man spoke disappointedly as voices consumed the other end.

"Mate, you sound distressed why'd you need to talk to an Evelyn?" I snorted,

"Way to be subtle," I retorted, taking a step back so my back rested against the wall.

"Oh, no reason, just having some troubles." I frowned, my fingers playing with my hair that had grown longer, my tattoo's hidden behind my long sleeved top; yet I could still trace them effortlessly.

"What kind of troubles." Kol pressed. His back facing me as I slowly slid down onto the ground, my knees pulling up to my chest as I cradled my head, between my cold hands.

"Just Beacon Hills animal attacks." The man said, before mumbling a quick goodbye and hanging up. Kol's eyes met mine, an unsettling feeling passing between us as he handed my phone to me.

"You're not going back are you?" I paused, my eyebrows knitting together as I stepped into his embrace, his hand gently caressing my hair as I pressed my head into his shirt.

"Probably." I muttered, as we walked to our home.

"I hate you so much, I think I'm going to die from it." I muttered, glaring at Peter.
