Lyn Hall's POV - 28 / 06 / 2014 : Mexico
"Your incompetence level is way to high." Peter stated as my eyes opened. I sat up gingerly touching my waist where my skin had partially healed, the poison still working it's way out of my hybrid infused system.
"High? My incompetence is high?" I accused pointedly glaring up at Peter. "If we leave you alone for a moment, you go on a homocidal vengeance rampage." I shook my head, my mouth agape as I dusted my jeans off.
"And you don't?" he retorted as he steadied me.
"Peter. Shut up." He smirked in response before we were called towards the group that stood in the shadows of the deserted church.
With haste Peter and I jogged over, Peter in the lead as I was suddenly thrown into a brick wall, the Berserker's arms gripping me once more as it repeatedly bet me on the ground.
"Run!" I yelled to Peter whom looked at me with determination.
"But-" Stiles began as I began to fight back, my fist colliding with the Berserkers bony mask.
"It just isn't my day." I muttered before my foot connected with the Berserkers well armoured torso. I watched as the Berserker stood into an attack like stance, before charging at me, it's large blade like claws aimed for my heart.
Derek suddenly stood before me, the claw embedded in his lower abdomen. I watched onwards with wide eyes as gun fire began to erupt around me. With a crazed look in my eye I leapt upon the Berserker my fangs elated, and my demeanour dominate. With a roar, I began to claw at the armour, piece by piece it began to fall away. Anger, sadness and determination filling each pore, cell and vein in my body until my claws drew blood. The Berserker fought back, with strength and speed but it seemed to be no match against my anger as I tore the heart of the beast right out. My eyes ablaze with a foreboding darkness as I leapt off the falling creature.
I turned slowly my breathing rugged as the entire group came to a stand still, all eyes on Braeden as she revealed blood on her hands.
"How bad is it?" Peter asked, his eyes wide with an anonymous look upon his face.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Derek gasped quickly, while his body arched upwards. I suddenly keeled over, feeling a sharp sting etch itself across my abdomen. Blood pooling on the ground where I knelt as I tried to hide it. My eyes solely focused on Derek. "Get to Scott." Derek gasped. "Just find him." Blood lapped at his lips, as it too did to mine. "I'll be right behind you." He finished, his eyes locked with Peter's and I's. "Go." Malia, Stiles, Liam, Peter and I remained still, none of us willing to leave. "Go!" He commanded, as I stood from my knelt position.
Peter cast one final look over his Nephew before turning and stumbling his way into the church followed by the majority of the group, leaving myself and Braeden to care for Derek.
"You need to go. Help them." Derek gasped, as he clutched at his wound.
"In the state I'm in? I'm not so sure I can help." I paused licking my lips. "You won't die."
"No. I won't." He gasped, yet his eyes held that look. That apologetic look that mean't he was lying.
"You won't." I whispered, gently pressing my lips to his forehead before standing. "I promise."
