Evelyn Hall's POV - 03 / 08 / 2015 - Mystic Falls

The car ride was utter chaos. I drove the black Jeep at a speed that Brett had referred to as 'Faster than Derek on crack.' I guessed that mean't he wasn't extremely comfortable with me going fifty kilometre's over the one hundred kilometre speed limit.

But at the rate these two were fighting I'd rather get to Beacon Hills as fast as I could. Who on earth fights about the colour they want they're unicorns to be. I rubbed my face, smacking my head against the head rest as I slowed down, the car coming to a gentle stop on the side of the road as the blue and red lights flashed in my wake. A knock on the tinted window alerted me of the officer's presence as I eased the window down, hiding my face behind a thin veil of black hair.

"Do you know how fast you were going?" The officer asked with a bored expression.

"Probably." I muttered, as I turned to eye Jordan Parrish. He dropped his ticket book in shock, as his eyes widened.

"Evelyn?"

"Jordan."

"Brett."

"Colton." The two boys clapped, whilst cheering loudly.

"Good we're all here." I mocked, licking my lips as I rested my hands on the steering wheel.

"You we're dead." Parrish stated in shock.

"I was." I said grinning with sarcastic approval. He just stood there in disbelief as I tapped awkwardly at the steering wheel, my mouth pulled in a tight lipped grimace as the boys obnoxiously loud voices ceased too quiet whispers. "So," I said motioning between us with finger, "are we done here?" I shrugged, "Or like, what?" I rubbed my knuckles as he just stood there his mouth agape.

"You we're dead." He continued with a firm voice.

"I thought we just established that I was, I mean like, can I go?" I asked esperatedly, and desperate to finally get home.

"How are you here?" he asked, his eyes firmly set with my own.

'Well my friend Damon crashed a car into a gas filled bar to kill a large group of travellers, thus joining me in my realm of isolation, he and a few others returned through a Bennet witch who became an anchor,' I settled for, "It doesn't matter." I clicked my neck, yawning tiresomely, "Look returning from dead tends to be rather tiresome, I was wondering if I could go Jordan." He nodded hurriedly.

"You need to go see the Sheriff, and Stiles like now."

I raised my eyebrows in astonishment, "It's a small town Jordan, I can't exactly hide." I smirked, and with a wink pulled out and drove onwards, at a more acceptable pace.

I rested upon my bed, the burn't remains of my pack house littering my surrounding with smouldering pieces of ash. The fire had been stopped before the entire house had been engulfed, but the damage still remained as a reminder. Closing my eyes I allowed the tiredness to swarm every crevice in my body as my limbs fell into a heavy slumber.

'We could kill you,' Russ growled, as I blinked looking upon the three supernaturals before me. I struggled to form words before I simply engulfed them in hug.

'I will kill her.' Agne mumbled as she stood rigidly in my embrace. I subtly stepped back, sucking at my lip as I sat down.

'I'm sorry the chance was there, I-I had to try.' I mumbled, Silver nodded in understanding, whereas Agne and Russ remained still, with a firm scowl upon each of their faces.

'We're not angry, just disappointed because you couldn't reach you're full potential, you couldn't evolve because you died, and now you will remain in Beta form until you prove worthy.'

I shrugged a small smile upon my lips, 'It's a worthy sacrifice to lose that chance, if it mean't a chance of being happy.' Russ and Silver nodded in approval.

'I would agree,' Agne scowled, 'but I can sense an over whelming darkness approaching, a darkness more frightening than we've ever faced before.' I bit my lip in thought.

'Perhaps so, I'm twenty-one now and I've yet to give up. It doesn't matter what is thrown at me, I've faced everything by myself, this time. I'm not alone.'

I awoke blinking back the black spots that obscured my vision. Speaking of not alone, I'd fallen asleep alone and now I was swarmed by a few more than myself. I groggily wiped the sleep from my eyes as I eyed the muscular arm around my waist. Surely not. A broad grin spread across my mouth as I leapt up.

"Who the hell let the wild animals in my room!" I announced, staring proudly down upon my pack who awoke slowly, eyes filled with tiredness merely glared at me. My foot was grabbed, and lifted from beneath me as a cluster of bodies fell atop of me. I heaved, my breath restricted, as Josh, Russ, Silver, Colton and Brett dog piled me. The girl's stepped to the side, laughter causing their bodies to wrack painfully as I watch onwards with a pained expression.

"Ge-get them. Off. Of. Me." I growled, as I struggled to free my hands that were trapped beneath me.

The girls continued to giggle as they lightly shoved the boys off. One my one they tumbled off of me and onto the floor only to make an attempt at falling asleep. "God I missed you guys." I stated smiling down upon my pack, that lay mismatched around me.

"Yeah yeah, you missed us, we missed us too." Josh scoffed as he stood brushing himself off before embracing me in a short hug. Which soon became a large bone crushing pack hug.

"Scott's been looking after you." I nodded, admiring my pack.

"We didn't know of your sacrifice until Klaus contacted Scott."

"So I'm forgiven?" I questioned softly as the girls looked at me in alarm.

"There was no need to be sorry, if anything we can be sorry that you're father in a sociopathic blood-crazed, homicidal demon."

"That right there is perfect description about Niklaus." I smirked before embracing the group in one final hug. "We have work to do."

"Already," Brett whined, pouting childishly.

"Unfortunately so." I tilted my head ever so slightly, my face grim as I recognised the conflicts that would soon arise.

"I trust you are prepared to fight."
