Lyn Hall's POV - 24 / 06 / 2014 : Beacon Hills

"It's a variant of canine distemper. A few years ago, an outbreak in Yellowstone killed 40% of the wolf population." Deaton said, as I sat patiently besides Braeden.

"What's it going to do to our wolf population?" Melissa questioned, her eyes wide.

"Well, it's been altered to infect quite a bit faster." Deaton said vaguely as he cast a weary glance towards Derek and I.

"He mean's it's been weaponised, you don't have to pretend like we're children who don't understand what death means." I muttered,  as my lips twitched into a snarl.

"It infected my whole pack." Satomi said, her hard voice slicing through the silence.

"Everyone except for you. That's the real question. Did you not get infected? Or are you immune?"

"If your pack was infected, then who was doing all the shooting at the entrance to the woods?" Derek questioned as I stood abruptly.

"Apparently another assassin. Personally, I'd rather face a gun than a variant of smallpox." I scowled as I made to move towards the door, the sudden surge of anger surprising me slightly as I clenched my fists, my teeth gritted.

"Sounds like you're going to get plenty of chances." Satomi said, as I made to storm out. The anger consming me in waves as two burly men stood in the door way blocking my path.

"Can you get the f*ck out of my way before I rip your small intestine out of your mouth, and your large intestine out your a*s, and use you as a skipping rope. You had best unf*ck yourself right now or I will gouge out your eyeballs and then continue to skull fuck you." I smiled sweetly as I turned to the other man. "I'm going to count to five. If I get to four and you're still here I will crush your skull. If I get to three. I'll rip all of your limbs off your body, slowly. And then I'll cauterise the stumps. If I get to five. I'm going to throw your torso threw that wall down twenty stories and then...then I'll jump down myself to see if you're alive. And if you are...I'll finish the job. In excruciating slowness." My eyes gleamed with anger. As the man reached for his gun that I already disarmed him off.

"Looking for this?" His eyes met mine, as I shot him in the forehead, the next bullet went in the other's.  I turned, my face emotionless. A wide smile spreading across my face as I started laughing. "The funny part is that they weren't after me, they were after you." I pointed an accusing finger between Derek and Satomi. Derek looked intently at me, his eyes holding an emotion that I couldn't quite put a potentially blood covered finger on.

"You are an idiot." Derek muttered.

"I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia. I used to visit her a lot, you know. Do you remember me?" Satomi said as she turned looking towards Derek. I closed my eyes sitting on the ground, as a headache began to pound against the side of my head.

"I remember the tea. You always brought that tea that smelled terrible." Derek said.

"I brought that tea as a gift. Your mother loved it."

"What kind of tea?" Deaton asked curiously, as I blinked my vision becoming infrared.

"What?" Satomi asked confused. I stood, my feet firmly placed on the ground as my hand grasped the wall for balance. I blinked my vision returning to normal as I swayed my back hitting the wall.

"The tea with the smell, what kind was it?"

"Reishi. Wild purple reishi. It's very rare." Satomi said, a smile pulling at her lips.

"It's also a very powerful remedy for sickness. Satomi, you didn't get infected because you've been inoculated." Deaton said, as he held a calculating gaze with the powerful woman before him.

"Okay, okay. How rare is it? Can we find it?" Melissa asked hurriedly, her mind set on Scott.

"We don't have to. My mother kept some of it. It's in our vault-" I interrupted Derek as I vomited, black liquid dribbling from my mouth as I gagged. I took deep breaths as I slowly lifted my head, my gaze resting behind Derek, Satomi and Melissa.

"Horus." I croaked, as I stumbled forward. My shoulder colliding with Derek's as I fell into Russ's embrace.

"I knew you'd miss me, I told the other's but they said that I'd be the least missed," he smiled cockily as he brushed a strand of hair out of my face. I buried my head in Russ's chest. My eyes closing as a large smile graced my face.

Russ's face had slimmed considerable, his cheek bones more prominent. Stubble gracing his cheeks, his eyes reflected my happiness at being reunited with a part of myself. "Your muscles have depleted considerable," I mocked, playfully squeezing his arm as he scoffed.

"It's a little hard to work out when you're eating ice cream in the comforts of an abandoned warehouse," he mocked as I blushed smacking his arm playfully. He bared his fangs, his eyes shining a similar navy colour as mine. I cocked my head curiously, as he embraced me, his teeth nipping at my neck. "How are yo-"

"Not right now, let's just say this small interaction wasn't exactly allowed per say," I scolded hitting Russ.

"We have a very abusive relationship," he paused, "I don't think I can be your boyfriend if you keep hitting me." I raised a threatening hand.

"We're not going out." I turned around to face the group, "We're not going out." I then returned my gaze to fixate on the vampire before me.

"I need answers."

"Well you're not gonna get them from me, love," my jaw clenched as I resorted to Latin.

"Quomodo te huc adducit? Ubi eras? Cur oculos tuos classe blue? Quid mea? Ive ' periit, et Agne argentum. Quid accidit? Nescio quid acciderit mihi sum alius aliter sentio. I'm terrible at being good, and even worse at being bad. What am I supposed to be, who am I supposed to be?" I gripped his shirt, as I began to break down. [How are you here? Where have you been? Why are your eyes navy blue? Why are mine? I've missed you, and Agne, Silver. What's been happening? I don't know what's happened to me but I'm different, I feel different.]

His eyes searched mine carefully, "I'm sorry but you have to understand that everything happened for a reason, your mother's death, you being bitten. The headaches, your heart stopping, the panic attacks. Every single thing that's ever happened to you is for a reason." I frowned caught up on what he'd said about my mother. Her death having happened for a reason. He smiled wistfully before fading into nothing more than a shadow. I scowled chewing at my bottom lip, I cracked my neck. My bones breaking as I allowed the anger to consume me.

"F*ck this," I grunted, as I keeled over. "Get a message to Scott! There are hunter's down the hall, Satomi you're with me." I then leapt into the air, emitting a low growl from my snout, as I lowered my head, my navy fur swaying in the brisk evening air gently blowing in through the open window. My hackles rose as I released a low frequency howl to signal my blood thirst.

'It may be unfair to bring my anger upon those around me, but I was done, I'd said it myself. I was finished.'
