Eventually, the rain that fell upon there beloved city left nothing but an unbearable weather below freezing point, with having the courtesy of a potential storm that was going to be present in a few hours.
Tom, wearing nothing but the warmest of his clothes on that freezing Monday morning sat across the misty and fog covered window. After placing his legs in front of his chest, he suddenly found himself dazed out on that measly on window, shielding himself from the outside world.
For a split-second, Tom's thought wondered about Carlton, and he would be doing at this exact moment, was he cooking, eating or even, staring out at wherever he lives and looking at the same sky. But he knew that was only a possibility, only a guess. For some reason, he longed for work today, not that he enjoyed his position, Tom did but there was much more than that, much more. Carlton perhaps maybe.
He knew what he had feelings for his boss was nothing more but a cocktail of mixed emotions. At morning, Carlton would be at a grim mood; his face would be unreadable and his body stiff and rigid, but after noon, he would lighten up a bit more, smiles more casually with eyes forming the shapes of almonds. That's what Tom adored for him, whenever he smiles and become loose: 'happy Carlton' as Tom called it.
Since Tom was finished with his daily chores, he decided to sit and think about everything he could think off. Kate was asleep, she was always asleep whenever it rained so he was left alone without a company. A lone soul on this vast, desolated place of paradise
As Tom continued to look over the window, his phone that was placed next to him rattled in a buzzing noise. He picked it up and answered.
“Hello” Tom spoke as he wrapped his blanket around him, making a tiny cacoon for himself.
“Its Tanya. Are you busy?” Tanya started, arching Tom's eyebrows in surprise.
“Uhh-Not really, No” Tom looked around the quietly deserted apartment. The fireplace lithe up most of the view, and the flickering it made was the only noise present. “I really have no other things to do” He smiled.
“Great, I need a favor” She started. “I need you to go to the pharmacy and pick up medicines for Carlton. I think he's going down with a flu. I would go do it myself If I wasn't so busy here at the venue”
Tom's heart seemed to skip a beat to what his colleague revealed. Carlton is sick, and Tom thinks he knows the reason why. clearly He was the reason, whoever conceded that might sound. But he would do it, anything. He was the cause of Carlton's apparent sickness, It would only be fair to him and to himself for doing this, despite the constant storm warning over the television, he had to do this.
“Tell me time and place” He replied. This time, he was going to return his coat.

On the way to Carlton's apartment, the rain brew heavily down on his car while Tom's mind was at laser focus once the distance from his boss' apartment came cut short. Upon arriving, he parked his car and grabbed the plastic bag with various medicinal supplies against the flu.
Staring from the windshield, Tom couldn't help it but feel surprise at the structure of the building where Carlton lived. He lived in a palace compared to his apartment that made it nothing more than a coat closet, though he'd have to wait to see the insides.
Inhaling one large breathe, he walked over through the rain and into the building. He walked over to the front desk and made the necessary adjustment, after he was punched in, he made his way to his boss' apartment, that was in a penthouse from the very top floor.
