His eyes casted stern and heavy gaze down towards my uneven ones, somehow, by the stars in the universe I refuse to cast my gaze towards his watchful eyes. It held a thousand secrets that he could not pay to be known. So, he looked, hard on the glass filled with burning liquid infront of him as he stared at him like a painting in a museum.
Waiting, deciphering and making things happen.
I should be happy, embracing the fact that we met. But why do I feel like I'm biting off more than I could chew.
He was mad at him, yes. But at what cost? It was no secret (anymore) that Tom adored Robert much more than he hoped, as if his love runs so deep. But still, It was a miracle that Tom loved him a way that he knew he lost to the devil himself.
Hagen.
Tom wanted to ask so many things: How are you? Are you happy? How's life been treating you? I hope you are fine. And yet, all Tom could possibly feel like saying is: Hi
Tom flinched inwardlly at his terrible greeting, wincing as Robert left a ghost smile on his lips.
“I miss you, too” his voice ran smoothly at his ears. Even his hands trembled under a course of a few seconds before returning to there usually frozen state.
He misses me?! Okay..
And there It is! His smile was all warm and radiant, similar to the powerful southern skies. Burning bright.
“Don't” Tom smiled, gritting his teeth in the process.
“You know what I mean” Ah yes, the fighting, the companionship, the relationship. Me and all my perfect persona because I was just so lovable and irresistible in ways that was unimaginable.
Fixing his gaze on him, Tom's soft eyes matching with Robert's hard, tightened gaze with both equal intensity. From afar, It would not look like these two had chemistry but underneath all there hard forged exterior, these two were as romantic as they could possibly be.
“What do you want?” Tom began. “I thought I made it clear that I don't want to see you again”
Robert flashed his chershire smile. “And yet you came. Why?” He replied, having the upper hand.
“Because you're blackmailing me” He said, his eyes cutting steel. He liked-slash-love him in different ways but this, him blackmailing Tom to an extent of him telling the truth is unacceptable. He was never one to be played, especially by an ex-lover whom he loves oh-so-dearly.
Robert, still locking his gaze on him breathed evenly. He wore his suit that day and his perfume that Tom noticed instantly. His structure was composed and intimidating but at the same time, there was this hidden ease to how he moved, how his eyes closed and if you look close enough, you'd see he's not as scary as he looked.
“I just want to know the truth”
“I don't know what you want me to say—” And for a second, he became restless. The table rattled visciously as Robert's fist collided on it, a few people from the other table gave them suspicious looks before returning to there own. Tom, as much as he tried resisted to flinch.
“Don't you lie to me” He said angrily, keeping his voice to a minimum as his finger pointed towards Tom like he was an accused already convicted. His eyes were like to two sharp daggers that was so menacing, Tom had a difficult time to look at him in the eye.
“I know” Impossible, It can't be. “About everything, that picture I sent you was nothing more than a bait and you took it with open arms that answered my question—” He stopped, closing his eyes as he sighed heavily, his hands turning into a fist. “You're not who you say you are” Robert's voice broke off in the end as he kept his emotions in check.
