Tom's eyes flew open as the morning light shone heavenly through his windows, immediately illuminating every little bit of aspect on his room, his mirror, his figurines and much more.

Time seemed to past dreamlessly that night, as if he never had a problem to be even dealt with. Tom made a mental note later to say thank you to Kate, her idea of bailing out on Carlton for a day or two was starting to pay off. He could feel it in his bones, it made a tingling sensation when he thought about it. Tom knew that avoiding Carlton would not make things better, but he sure did feel lighter than before.

Standing up, Tom did his usual morning ritual then proceeded to the kitchen and thought the idea of having crepes for breakfast. After grabbing everything he needed, Tom started without a hurry in the world.

“Someone looks happy” Kate greeted from behind him, while she took a cup full of steaming, hot coffee.

Instead of answering, Tom rolled his eyes and preceded making the last batch of crepes, before setting them down on the table with various fruits in each bowls. Tom, who looked satisfied smiled and sat down along with Kate.

After a few minutes had passed, Kate couldn't help it but feel this 'ecstatic' vibe that was radiating off Tom like a fire in a bush.

“Why are you so damn happy? You got laid did you?” She asked, her eyes squinting at the sight in front of her.

Tom shrugged. “Just had a good night's sleep, that's all” He smiled. Even thought that was half the reason why he was such in a good mood, he just couldn't destroy this feeling so easily.

“Actually, I wanted to say thank you” Tom said, gaining Kate's attention.

     “What for?” she replied.

“For your advice...that I should stay away from him for a day or two” He opened, smiling thinly at her who smiled back.

“It's really no problem, but are you ready for your night with Rob?” She added, her eyes filled with curiosity.

For the past day, Tom hadn't even thought about his date with Rob. It was always levelling up the idea of facing Carlton. It was always about Carlton.

“I haven't really thought about it, that much” Tom confessed.

     “Well, you should”

     Tom glanced up, curious. “Why?”

“Because he's a really great guy and I can see him with you” She smiled, a tender, heart-warming smile. “How many times had your heart been broken?”

This time, it was my turn to smile. “Too many for one lifetime”

Tom decided to loosen up his morning by jogging through the park, seeing nature's natural beauty made Tom feel slightly better about things, if not lighter.

He had his whole game-plan by the drawing board. He'll begin jogging every morning; just to ease of the tension of off everything. Next, he'll take minute to breathe, for a whole minute, Tom just wanted to breathe. After being satisfied with his daily plans, he started the day off like any other day.

Once finished jogging, he showered, got cleaned up, and organized the dishes and so on. Until he found himself getting ready for his night with Rob that was going to start in a few minutes.

“Oh my god! You look lovely” Kate exclaimed, suddenly appearing behind her.

Tom just smiled cheekily. “Is it too much?” Tom had already wore a peach color long-sleeves button up shirt with semi-fit pants that matched the color of his room.
