It seems, the more seconds passed by, Tom's heart was being constricted into hundreds of tiny little tendrils, squeezing and choking every aspects of his beating heart.

Rob's worried gaze didn't matter this time, no matter how sincere and concern he looked at the moment. His glance shifted from a nervous Tom, down to the black jaguar that roared it's engine in its presence. He asked multiple-times what was wrong and why wasn't he moving. Tom didn't answer.

Instead, with ice in his heart, he took tentative steps towards the glossy beast and waited, nervously for the unknown driver to step out of the black devil.

At last, as the howling of the wind couldn't appear more ominous that it already it, the driver's door opened, with it every frightful thought Tom had imagined came tracing back to his consciousness if it was that particular someone who appeared right before his eyes.

He was able to breathe more easily when a set of high heels came clicking down on the frigid pavement of the street and not a set of formal shoes as he expected.

Tanya came walking down the street with her usual get-up, despite the freezing temperature that resides them right know. There was a look in her time-less face of pure distaste and dissatisfaction. Her eyes were narrowed and focused, head tilted higher than expected and a nerve racking glare that Tom's body shudder unexpectedly. And with her other hand, a bag of full medicine, quite similar to the ones he delivered not many nights ago.

"You seem to be doing well, how's the flu?" Tanya spoke, her voice cutting edge.

Tom didn't have the guts to speak to her right now, he remembered after all that his date was still lingering around. He turned slowly and walked to Rob, whispering that he needed to go right know and that it was just a friend and a co-worker he was speaking too. The tone ,Tom used wasn't bought by one second by Rob, he knew the young man was scared shitless at whoever this lady was and he was ready to defend him at the very moment, but the pleading eyes of Tom made him question his motives. He was sincere, he would give him that, but he didn't budge.

"I'm not going away until you tell me what's going on" Rob murmured back to him, he narrowed his eyes and interlocked a hand with Tom to show how serious he was, but Tom wasn't having any of it.

He slowly untangled there locked fingers together and spoke. "I told you, she's just a friend and co-worker. I made a stupid lie so that I wouldn't have to go to work this pass few days, that's why. Can you go now?"

It took a second before Rob nodded slowly and kissed Tom by the cheeks, Again for the night, he felt like he was going on the verge of having another heart attack, but as soon as the kiss was over, the pulses depleted and he was back to whatever state he was in. Rob walked over to his car, casted a wary look towards Tom and stern one over at Tanya before honking his horn signalling his departure and leaving.

It left the uneasy and quiet atmosphere for Tom, who stood exceptionally composed in front of the beast that stood before him.

"Cute, Is that your boyfriend?" Tanya snickered, nodding towards the direction where Rob's car had left.

Tom took the playful sound she made to be a dangerous one. He shook his head. "No, he's not"

"Then what are you doing fucking around with him when you should be at work?"

Tom opened his mouth to reply, pure silence came out. The disappointing look Tanya gave him was more horrible instead of the glare she usually put up with.

"I don't have to explain my self to you" He replied, his hands fidgeting on both sides.

A sick, humorless laugh came sounding down the street of the empty road. "I'm your boss, yes you do"
