A/N: Hagen Delacroix (Mike Vogel) on the media section.
DREAMS are said to have opposite meanings. Whether good or bad, It is bound to be the complete opposite. How unfortunate, I dreamt of escaping and arriving at Robert's house with nothing but my conscience. I sighed, I could only dream.
Sometimes, when I'm all alone in this big house, I think to myself about the possibilities of the time when a thought passed by me. I was alone and a short and concise idea came into my head. What if me and Robert just...left. For all I know, Robert was game as he always was. But was I? I don't know. I just hope wherever Robert is, I hope he'd stop looking for me. It was useless anymore.
Even if a tiny bit of hope lingered in me, that Robert would save me.
"You look good in that shirt I got you. Do you like it?" Hagen said as we ate breakfast, we were basking under the sunlight of our porch. For the past few weeks, Hagen bought me bag after bag of attires from all kinds of designer brands. He was showering me with his signature lavishness. He bought them from Europe whenever he left the Golden Islands to resume his business.
As of today, operations concerning the Delacroix family was in an all-time-high. Of course, with the money Hagen was about inherit under my name right after we were to be married, It would not take long before Hagen used that money to expand his control. But what really scared me is the thought of us getting married because he would be literally on top of the world and I would be his prisoner.
"It's lovely, thank you for this" I replied, smiling sweetly at him. Hagen smiled thinly at the sight of me looking content. I've been playing him this past few days. It was futile in all sense for me to escape so in it's place, I thought about another way. I will make Hagen invest in me.
"I'm going to Paris this weekend, would you like anything" A knife please.
"I'm good"
"You sure?" He asked, a light scowl on his face. I nodded afterwards. I took a bite of my waffles that was overflowing with fruits when Hagen spoke.
"How about a painting" He said, surprising me. A painting? Certainly that would be new. Why not? After I agreed, Hagen, again with his smile made me more determine in my goal. I was going to make him eat from my hand.
After breakfast, Hagen left to resume his business in the confines of his signal-induced room. Since I was a flight-risk, Hagen had all the possible way of having the communications shut down except to his room that was guarded 24/7. Talk about paranoia.
"I'm excited to be married to you, Nikolaj" He said, our hands intertwined. I smiled. "I assure you, nothing will separate us anymore, nothing" He said while caressing my face slowly.
I was rendered speechless, I know I might sound stupid but he sounded so sincere about it. His devilishly handsome face and hypnotic blue eyes were penetrating my defenses. Again, my mind began to play tricks with me because I felt actually enticed to be with him. A few seconds later, a thought passed by me.
"Hey, why are you crying?" Hagen whispered, tracing the tears on my cheeks.
I shook my head. "I just remembered, Mother, that's all"
"I'm sure Lady Lucia is happy for you, that you're with me. Safe, happy and alive, with me" I would like to oppose to that. "Cheer up, Nikolaj" He said, touching my chin with his thumb. "I don't like to see you cry, love"
After a minute or so, I was able to contain my emotions. "So, Are you excited?" Hagen crooned, smiling thinly with tired eyes.
"I can't wait" I said with matching gaze.

I was standing by the balcony, feeling the ocean air by my face when Hagen embraced me from behind. He kissed my neck passionately and his hold to my body tightened. He was under my spell now.
"I'm about to go, It won't take long" He said, looking straight into my eyes.
"Take all the time you need, you still have a world to dominate" He chuckled, resting his head on my shoulder. "Don't be late for our wedding"
He laughed. "I don't plan too because the minute were married. Once I've settled all our transactions and the business is going steady, we're going to start our family. We can adopt, a boy and a girl if you like. I'll make sure they they go to the best schools and know the power they have at there disposal. They will be the perfect children for us, I'll make sure of it" I was a lost for words. Did Hagen really thought of starting a family? With me? After everything?
Addressing him before as crazy was an understatement. No, he was insane to every fibre of his being by the idea of us staring a family. He was mentally derange and I was scared to the bones.
"What do you think?" He said, caressing my belly as if I was able to conceive. Yup, he has lost his ways.
What else could I do but agree to what he envisions. "I think It's perfect" I said, hugging him in return.
Sunday came in a blur and by then, Hagen was already back from Paris and all his business was already taken care off. He came home in about 3 in the morning when the sound of his private jet got to my attention. I waited for him on his bed, Hagen didn't looked surprise to see me waiting for him as he laid down next to me and embraced me. He smelled like new air and money.
By morning, I woke up with hundreds of shopping bags around me. It was quite surprising actually, the amount of it all was just ludicrous. They came from all shapes and sizes and even color. But what really stood out was a painting that was very familiar to me.
One of Claude Monet's painting was hanging in front of me and I was pretty sure it was staring right back. It was mesmerizing just to look at, It had this history coursing through it's surface and the fact that this is Claude Monet's painting is unbelievable.
"Do you like it? When I saw this painting, It made me think of you and I knew I could not let it slip by me" I heard Hagen say as he leaned by the door. He wore another fresh set of the most expensive suits he own in the early hours of the morning, I wonder why?
I stood up and I ran into his arms. "It's perfect. Thank you, Oh my god" I said, looking really amazed and I wasn't kidding. It was real, I was absolutely and truly awe-struck that one of Monet's painting was in front of me.
"I'm glad you liked it" He said, Hagen then motioned for a kiss and I didn't think otherwise. After our heated kiss, I saw this cold and lifeless affection he had for me. It was this look that when he says he loves me, he mean't it but it also means that he's not rational anymore. He was like that, something dead and something in between. Cold and dangerous.
"Breakfast?" He offered, raising his brow.
I nodded. After he left I was all alone with my thought once more. I was slowly getting addicted to the lavishness he was presenting me with. Not that I never experienced it, I did but the fact that Hagen was doing all these milestones: Marriage, Family and Business. I couldn't help it but fall for his plan. I was going crazy by his decisions.
