Everything was perfect, It was all I could've ever dreamed about.
The Manor was awakened and decorated in pure, glistenning white. Flowers, cloth, table pieces, you name it. Everything was just breathtaking that I found myself staring off into oblivion when I saw our entire living room as a fucking reception hall. The furnitures were set aside, tables after tables was placed and a room full of what seems like chefs ran around in a hurry.
I walked around more, intaking what was happening, feeling suddenly under dressed as I was only wearing a pair of shorts and Hagen's plain grey shirt that was loose around the edges.
I felt my stomach grumble so I walked over to the kitchen. Expecting the huge crowd there was, I was right. There was no table or countertop left unplaced with either a plate full of food or ingridients.
Fuck me.
“Hi! I'm Cristie, I was asigned to be at your aid by Mr.Kensington” A petite, blonde beauty with hazel eyes came up to me. She was clutching a piece of tablet on her chest. She wore a blazer that had a logo of a company or some sorts.
Speaking of Mr. Kensington, Where was Hagen?”
“Yes. Why don't you get me something to eat, yeah?” She nodded, smiled sweetly and kindly excused herself. I took that time to evade her directly, I didn't need to be taken care of.
I jogged up the spiral stairs and walked towards the hallway that maybe Hagen was on the other side of it, I was correct, only he wasn't alone.
I walked closer without letting myself known, still conceiled behind the walls.
“Are you sure about this Sir? Is there any way we can change your mind?” I heard a voice of a man speak, sounding a little worried.
“No. After I get married, I'll take Nikolaj with me and we'll just leave. For his safety." Hagen said, I heard him walk in circles.
“It’s fucking dangerous out there, Mike. I can handle it, but Nikolaj—” He sighed, almost smiling to himself. “—I know he can handle himself, always has been. But to what extent? Until everysingle person I had a feud with end up attacking me” Hagen said. “And more importantly, him”
“I can't have that, Mike. I have to keep safe” Hagen said as I felt the string plucked from within my heart. He cared.
“But—” Mike tried to cut in.
“—No excuses” Hagen spat. “We leave tomorrow. After that you're on your own”
A few second of silence followed as Mike spoke.
“What about your families legacy? You're company?” Mike said lightly as I heard Hagen chuckle.
“What legacy? Auctioning stolen goods and making a world a crueler place? Having no remorse for the things that has kept people wondering. Innocent lives dying, war starting and what? Just because of my families legacy?” Hagen chuckled again.
“I know my family did somethings unspeakable. So, do what pleasure do I owe into inheriting that honor?” Hagen said. “We may be rich, but we ain't exactly painted in gold”
After that, I left from my evesdropping and rushed towards my room. I felt my chest tighten, my eyes blurring and the constant pang of my heart that jerked my movement a few second of so. I was panicking and I didn't know why.
Maybe because I just heard my childhood sweetheart take all this desperate measure to come and save me, actually save me. He was willing to give all of that he knew, his company, his family, his legacy that will reign on unscathe until the stars in the sky burn out into utter oblivion. Incinerating everything in it's path.
And he was with me, till my the end of my days as of his.
Forever.

I was beginning to fidget from where I stood, intaking all the eyes on me internally. I hated being looked at, I always did. And that never changed, as well as the fact that I am know standing in the altar with my soon to be husband.
It was both a blessing and a curse.
But then so, I was flourished with a wave of pure and untouched serenity. Then love of my life stood from the aisle, dressed in his best suit of silver and white. His constant stares had a way of rounding up the tremors in my heart. I was nervous, but after I saw the way he looked at me with awe, I was no longer nervous nor afraid.
I was enlightened. I was finally going to be married to the man of my dreams.
Hagen smiled thinly, I could tell he was happy. A union was finally about to happen that was decades in the making. After each step for every heartbeat, I stood side by side with the man I truly deserve, even though pieces of him were long gone. I continued to hold on to the good ones, the memories and tiny, precious moments.
"Do you, Hagen Mason Kensington. Take Nikolaj Maxwell Callahan as your wedded husband?" The priest said, smiling thinly in the end.
"I do" Hagen said, hid eyes were deep as sea.
"And do you, Nikolaj Maxwell Callahan. Take Hagen Mason Kensington as your wedded husband?" And at that moment, I knew I made the best decision of my life. I was ready to spend my life with him, someone who knew me and loved me unconditionally. Someone I can call my own despite the secrets we shared.
I looked at the people around me. Even though all of the guest are Hagen's friends and business partners. I knew that I shared a bond with them that was surreal. I was beginning to be respected now, Hagen's guards also answer to my orders now. But still they have to report everything to there superior. Hagen, my love, my life, my everything.
I chuckled silently. I was his self-proclaimed queen of his world but at the same time, his prisoner.
I opened my mouth to reply the sweetest words to him, but instead of my voice occupying the moment. Gun shots were fired from every directions with screams of perfect terror. I turned around and saw the chaos that was ensuing, countless bodies were on the ground and the guards firing back at the hidden assailants.
I turned around and saw Hagen. It was dreamlike, I watched him through hazy lenses and from the face that was filled with joy, it was replaced with a burning anger for revenge. And in one single shot, everything fell down.
