"Um, Mr. Carter?" I hear someone say.

I open my eyes and jump out of my seat. "Are they ok? Are my babies ok? Is everything ok? Dammit, woman, SPEAK!" I demand.

"Alright. Well, umm, your twins are about 3 months premature, so they are going to need to stay in the hospital so we can monitor them really really closely, so we can follow their progress and stuff," she tells me.

"Months?! Are they fine, though? And where's Coke?" This bitch needs to hurry up and tell me everything and fast before I turn up real quick.

"Umm, it gets more complicated here. She started hemorrhaging and wouldn't stop bleeding because of the preeclampsia she  developed upon delivery. Umm, w-w-we got the bleeding to stop, but then she had a seizure. W-w-we got her through it and then she became unresponsive," the nurse says fearfully.

I sit down. "Unresponsive? So my baby girl is dead? Is that what you're telling me? Cause if that's what you're telling me, I'm going to have to take the lives of everybody who touched her since I brought her here. Make sure you pick your words carefully." I snicker. "Your life literally depends on it."

The nurse looks taken aback. "No, she's not dead. She's in a coma and we don't know how long she'll be in one."

I get up. "Take me to her."

The nurse walks me to Coke's room but I go in alone.I walk up to her and I look at all of her wires and her beautiful face and I just can't take it anymore. I break down into tears.

After about 15 minutes of me crying like a little bitch, I get up. "Goddamn it, Coke. You're just gonna be chillin in this hospital bed while I take care of our kids, huh?" I chuckle. "Well, hurry up and get outta this. We have kids to raise and money to make. Bless up, nigga, and I'll see you tomorrow and every day until you open those beautiful eyes." I kiss her forehead and walk out. I could have sworn I heard a giggle. I turn around to look at Coke but I'm probably going crazy cause she looks like she did two seconds ago.

Anyway.... Let's go see my kids.
