Be sure to carefully read the Intro, Rules and Q&A pages before going any farther.
Welcome to the new year, and with the new year comes a new challenge, the goal to write a total of two-hundred and sixty-six chapters over the course of this year with a word list that contains that many words. However, writer's can't simply do all chapters within the first month of this challenge. This is a challenge which is to expand an entire year, and is to see how far you're able to go. For this particular challenge there is a time limit to getting as many done as possible, but in the same turn the challenge also allows writers to continue after the challenge is done.
Rules
1. Follow all of the basic rules set down in the guidelines.
2. The challenge lasts between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016, but if you come in late you can use that as your start date, and set the end date in the same manner.
3. For this challenge you will need to use the Wizards dice roller to figure out where you're going to start for each fandom for this particular challenge. For example, if you roll a ten, then you will roll a ten. You need to basically roll a dice with 266 sides for this particular challenge.
4. The first chapter of your story must use the word in question as the theme for that particular chapter, while the second uses the next word for the next chapter, and so on. Writer's continue with this pattern until the entire list is gone, or they hit the end date if they don't wish to continue after the end date.
5. You are allowed to do more then one story for the challenge, but each story must be at least two chapters long. In other words no one-shots, or one-shot collections. You also want to take each story as far as you can.
6. You are allowed to write crossovers for the fandom you pick, but you must stick to one fandom for the entire challenge, although you can do more then one fandom.
7. Each chapter must be between 500 and 5000 words.
8. If the challenge ends before you finish a story, you may complete a story without using the rest of this list, or you can finish the challenge.
9. It's one chapter per day, but you can play catch up. For example, if you start on January 10, you can write ten total chapters to catch up.
