Have you ever come across a site where you press a button and it brings you to a random. For this challenge you need a site which allows you to pick out a random Anime characters. My personal preference is the Anime Character Database. One also needs to remember that a good crossover doesn't just throw the characters together, but finds ways to blend the two world. Same goes for a good pairing. This will be great practice in blending of worlds in unexpected ways as well as pairing characters together in a believable manner. Press the random character button, and the first two you recognize are the two characters you're to pair up romantically.
What are the rules?
1. Follow all the rules put down under the rules section.
2. All stories must be a new story you've never published before.
3. Tag your stories with the proper category tag, fandom tags, #randomanime-pairings.
4. You must write a story for the first two characters you recognize, and you must finish the piece with a solid beginning, middle and end before you get to do another.
5. Each crossover must only ship two characters from any given fandom for each story.
6. Writer's may only use the fandom(s) from which the characters are from.
7. Stories don't have to be new, but they need to be 2,500 or more.
8. Writer's are not allowed to genderbend the characters for this challenge.
9. Incest pairings are not allowed. Pairings need to be unrequited, the story an AU where the two aren't related or the story features a family relationship instead.
10. Pedo pairings are not allowed. Pairings need to be unrequited, the younger character needs to be an adult in the story, or the story features a family or friendship relationship instead.
11. No pairings with animals. Pairings need to be family or friendship relationships instead, or the writer needs to write an AU where the animal is human. Note: Unikitty can be used to parody Mary Sue pairings if you go with the AU where the animal is human. Stay Puft and Slimer fall into this category.
12. All pairings need to be requited unless the pairing is an incest pairing, a pedo pairing, a pairing with an animal, there is a major age gap where one character is old enough to be a parent, or one of the characters is just plain creepy and/or evil. (Can you really imagine a requited pairing for Cyberman from Doctor Who?)
13. No breaking up the pairings for preferred pairings.
14. The stories may not end tragically for those in the pairing.
15. The only love triangles allowed are for canon pairings. Canon pairings are pairings which are together at the beginning of the canon plot line, but not ones which get together later on, nor one-sided pairings.
Banned Fandoms: Any fandom which is not an Anime or Game series.
