Be sure to carefully read the Intro, Rules and Q&A pages before going any farther.

Every country has it's own mythology and this mythology can be used for what a person writes. I think we all know Rick Riordan used Greek and Roman mythology in his Percy Jackson series as well as the sequel. He's not the only writer to do this either. Incorporate mythology somehow into the fandom you are writing for, and by this I don't mean in in symbolic manner or used as a simile or metaphor.

Rules

1. Follow all basic rules put down under the rules section.

2. Tag with the proper category tag, fandom tage and #fandompastamyth.

3. Writer's are only allowed one story for this per fandom per mythology.

4. Rules for canon may be bent a bit to fit the myth, but the more you can blend the myth into the fandom the better.

5. Absolutely no crossovers outside of the basic mythology. Don't copy other people's work. We don't want a copy of Percy Jackson please.

Banned Fandoms - Creepy Pasta's banned because the stories are themselves a form of myth. Mythology from the original source is also banned as it's again already a form of myth and fairy tails in their basic form are banned as they are story archetypes. Banned to are fandoms which deal with urban myths. Original fiction writers may write an original fiction piece based around a particular myth.

Original fiction fandoms based around myths are also banned as mythology already exists in said fandoms.

Examples: Percy Jackson, Marvel, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel
