I pulled out a red dress that I only wore on special occasions. I figured tonight was one of those "occasions."
I sighed and placed the dress on my bed as I began to get undressed, until there was a knock on my door and I covered my torso from any sort of exposure with my forearms.
"You should probably shut the door when you're undressing," Elyse chuckled leaning against my doorway. She was wearing a black fitted lace dress, which looked oddly familiar.
"Elyse! I love you to pieces, but get out!" I yelled pointing angrily at the door.
"So tell me," she began still lingering against the wooden doorframe, "Who's this girl Harry's marrying?" She asked trying to find out some gossip, which I knew none of.
"I don't know. Get out!" I shouted my words sharp. I look more closely at her dress, narrowing my eyes down on the material, "Elyse! Is that my dress?"
"Well I figured you would," she chuckled sitting on the edge of my bed and completely ignoring my question,
I took a deep breath in, trying to calm down after all this shouting.
"Why's that?" I inquired pulling the dress over my head.
"You know more about Harry than he knows about himself." Elyse stated slumping her shoulders up and down.
She was right in a way. I knew everything about Harry. I knew his favorite meal, his favorite color. That when he asked for two waffles, I knew he wanted three. That he had a stash of Milky Ways hidden in his room and carried at least one with him at all times, because they were his favorite. That he cried like a baby during The Notebook. And I knew so much more I could go on, but I didn't know anything about his love life.
"He didn't really tell me about her," I admitted, tugging at my bottom lip.
"Really?" Elyse gasped, her eyes growing wide, "I find that hard to believe."
"Well believe it, I'm in as much shock as you are."
"Huh..." Elyse whispered in awe.
"How come you don't know? You've been here more than I have." I said looking at my reflection in the mirror, and smoothing over the dress material.
"Em, he's never home anymore. He's too busy being an international boy band member, remember? He's always M.I.A., that's probably how he found this girl."
"M.I.A.?" I repeated furrowing my eyebrows and turning around to face her.
Sometimes it still baffles me how famous this small town boy from Cheshire had become something as iconic as Mick Jagger. He may be Harry Styles the famous boy from One Direction to the world, but to me he was and forever will be Harry Styles my best friend.
"Well after you left for Cambridge, he auditioned for the X Factor." Elyse began to explain, "I guess you were the only thing keeping him here, and once you left there was nothing left for him."
"Really?" I inquired, my voice soft. The way Elyse phrased that, it sounded pretty sad.
"I actually have no idea," Elyse shook her head bluntly, "But wouldn't that be so cute?"
"You watch too many movies." I chuckled shaking my head.
"I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy, let me tell ya!"

Since Anne lived right next door, there's really no need to rush there. However my parents always believe in the idea that arriving fashionably early was the norm. So of course, we left our house promptly at 6:50, when the party started at 7.
