"Emily!" Someone called from down the hall.

I skeptically turn around, pressing my books closer to my chest.

"Violet?" I replied but it sounded more like a question.

I knitted my eyebrows together as I watch her run to catch up with me. My face color drained and my blood began running cold.

"Hey girl!" She smiled wrapping her arm around my shoulder in a rough manner catching me off balance.

I quickly press my glasses up again before they fall to the floor.

"You know, you would look so pretty if you knew what make up was." She encouraged so politely and condescendingly.

"Oh," I whispered looking down.

"Come on, let's go get lunch together!" She cheered quickly guiding me to the cafeteria.

"Ok," I nervously chuckled as she pulled me beside her.

As soon as we walk in everyone stares at me, a smirk on their faces. The cafeteria, full of students, was completely silent for the first time.

I furrowed my eyebrows at their weird remarks, but figured it was nothing.

I continue following behind Violet to the "cool kids" table. I couldn't help but feel nervous about this. I wasn't apart of the popular crowd; I would never be able to fit in. Yet here I was, walking next to Violet; a girl I never imagined being "friends" with.

I stand in front of the table. The students glance up at me and then back down at the picture they were looking at with a grin on their faces.

Violet reaches for a piece of paper and then looks at me. She covers her mouth, hiding her smile.

"Oh EW..." She whispered in a mocking tone, showing the piece of paper to me.

I look away from the laughing students and down at the picture making my heart stop. It was a photo of me sitting in the library. It was the ugliest photo I've ever seen. No wonder they were all laughing, I was a walking embarrassing moment.

But under it was a caption. The words baffled me as I read, "The Virgin Emily."

"Nice braces," she smirked raising her eyebrows like she knew that this was happening.

I shut my mouth tightly and quickly grab the photo from her crumbling it in my shaky hands.

Everyone was laughing, and I felt like I might pass out at any second. My body was visibly trembling and my heart was racing at an abnormally fast pace. I was mortified.

Their laughing filled my ears like it was the only thing going on at that moment. The room felt as though it was caving in on me. I was trapped.

My eyes water and I can't seem to control my breathing, but I knew I needed to leave before I made a bigger fool of myself.

I turn around sprinting out until I collide with a body that wraps their arms around me automatically.

I breathe in the familiar aroma of spearmint and cologne and I automatically knew it was Harry. He smelt like home, and I felt safe once again. I hold onto him tight, continuing to breath in his scent.

"Hey, you're alright Emmie. Ok?" He whispered reassuringly in my ear.

I sighed in relief as I looked up at him. He looked livid. I've never seen him this mad.
