Drake hadn't planned to stay at his mother's house but once he saw Tae comfortable sleeping on the plush white couch in his mother's living room he couldn't wake her. He pulled the blanket that draped over the back of the couch and laid it over her, then bent down and kissed the side of her cheek.

His mother stood in the kitchen going between washing dishes and prepping food for tomorrow. Drake looked down at his watch then at his mother.

"It's 2am, why are you still up?" He asked frowning at her.

"Aubrey, I have a crowd of people coming tomorrow, who else is going to do things the way I want them." She said picking up a bag that held a few groceries she hadn't put up yet.

Drake raised his eyebrows and placed a hand on his chest, cocking his head back."Well, excuse me."

"Well you can help me." Drake looked at his mom with a twisted face.

"I'm tired." He whined throwing his head back. It was as if Drake was seventeen again.

"Well, I'm more tired than you are, come on." Sandi told him, instead of asking him. She pointed to a white plastic bag. "Hand me that."

Drake picked up the bag and placed it in front of her, he looked over and saw the familiar old black boxes. "You pulled out the photos."

"I did, we looked at a few photos, had some laughs." Drake looked over at Tae, he watched her toss and turn on the couch.

"She's very similar to you, Aubrey. You two may love differently, but you two share the same passion for love." Drake turned and looked at his mother, who was focused on opening a box of pasta. "Just wanting someone to understand you and your lifestyle."  Drake waited for his mother to continue but she didn't. In this case, less was more. She didn't need to continue.

"Why is everyone lecturing me. Y'all know something that I don't?" Drake looked at his mom waiting for her to answer. She continued with sifting through food, then finally stopped and looked at Drake.

"Just keeping you on track." Sandi smiled, then went back to picking up food and putting it in the fridge.

Even though it was 10am and everyone went to bed at 2am everyone seemed to be up and in a good mood, the house continued smelling like cinnamon mixed with the breakfast Sandi and the personal chef was cooking, Tae walked down the steps to see Oliver and Chubbs standing on the other side of the kitchen out of the way, and Drake on the phone finalizing New Year's Eve plans. The house was fairly empty compared to what it looked like last night. She kissed Drake in the forehead then continued to the kitchen.

"You post the message on Instagram?" Oliver asked Tae, he looked at her while bending down on the counter.

"Yea." She said quickly but still looking down at her phone while she finished typing out an email.

"You want to leave now?" Oliver asked still looking at her.

Tae looked down at the gold boyfriend style Rolex watch on her right wrist for a moment and nodded her head yes.

After Oliver and the rest of the team posted that the OVO store would be open for a few hours today on Thanksgiving, it didn't take long for people to comment on the post. OVO and Drake Stan pages reposting it.

Winter in Toronto was coming, the wind blew cold air every which way. Tae hair blow in front of her face as she pulled the fur hood of her midnight blue OVO jacket up over her fitted hat, her dark denim skinny jeans and black timberlands suited her personal style well, finally dressing down, it had been dresses and six in heels for going on weeks now.
